I would not close this possibility out either, but since we are about to have a second season, this may not be the case after all. And ever since the beginning it was hinted that Vee might have some special abilities or status.
As for the horrible siblings, I am still not quite sure about Jay’s motivations, whether he wants to scare Vee away from the family or he wants him for himself as well. If the latter, I don’t get why he involved Jennifer into his plan.

I was wondering about the same but Vee does not behave as a ghost at all. And if he is a ghost how come everyone sees him? That suicide might have been in his imagination. Or he may even be immortal. I am puzzled af.
There's a bit over-abundance of dialogue (generally smart dialogue, nevertheless), but apart from that, this is an exceedingly sleek, expertly packed and very well-done series so far with a familiar but neatly handled and quite intelligent narrative, interesting characters and rather accomplished ensemble acting.
Sorry to interrupt the fan service topic and going back to the plot of the show once again, but do you remember Fujisaki's expression and the way she stared at Adachi when he offered to tell her mum that she is basically happy without a guy by her side? We know she knew about Kurosawa's love for Adachi and it is pretty much clear she knows about their relationship as well. But I would not be surprised if she found out Adachi's mind-reading magic power also. Smart girl.
I must say, I was surprised that Jay even (fake) apologised to Vee, technically he didn't even get to blackmail…
Vee is certainly experiencing the freedom of love-making after being sheltered for 20 years by that crazy bitch. I honestly do mind not being around to teach him a lesson ha.

The reason I am rooting for them because Dong seems genuinely caring for Vee. He is likely to be the reason Jennifer’s love spell didn’t work. But I am not against any orgy in the meantime lol.

I know it is not right Jay is doing all this blackmail and manipulation, but damn it, it is hot af and a big turn on lol. I still root for Vee and Dong though, but Jay’s lust is hard not to make one horny.

I prefer this version as well because it is sexier and adds more to the “Vee, the object of desire” theme, one that seems to be the main point of the show.

But Vee might got the vibes and signs from Jay. Yet I am still unsure if Jay is jealous that Vee is intruding into their family and he us trying to get rid of him in a twisted way (in the teaser he says he has a plan to end this between Dong and Vee, and in the trailer he tells Dong Vee is not a part of their family) or he wants to alienate his siblings from Vee because he wants him for himself.
So at this stage it seems Dong is the only one out of the 3 siblings who loves Vee in an altruist way and who respects him as well. Jennifer and Jay just want to possess him, irrespective of his feelings. Chances are Dong is going to lose his temper when he finds out about Vee and Jay, and this might lead to that suicide attempt foreshadowed by the teaser. I hope it remains an attempt. That scene with the mother and sister made things even more of a ring of madness.
