I don't know if this has been already brought up in this comment section-turned-into-livestream but Adachi is wrong when he keeps repeating he cheated. Did he? His product was exactly about what the director missed from other stationaries. He just should have elaborated a bit more in a way he did to Kurosawa when they were at the restaurant. Kurosawa did his best to help him in his self-confident, cool, sales ace way. But Adachi should have followed his own heart in his own way, to make a presentation to emphasize the Cheer Clips are about and for introverted people like him. Because there are others than Kurosawas in the world.

I don’t think I underestimate anything. I said such behaviour and such open homophobic abuse, especially in front of witnesses is extremely unconvincing, and I stand by that.

This Type’s boss thread is wildly improbable. Apart from the fact that we get no clear reason why he is such a dickhead with him, he simply cannot behave like that. He has no authorization to order a doctor to do admin stuff out of his field and responsibility, and he is not allowed to be openly homophobic and he cannot insult his staff members like that. Thailand has anti discrimination bans as well.

Adachi has serious self-esteem problems and now he believes he is nothing without his magic power, and he thinks he is where he is with Kurosawa only because he used his magic. He feels he betrayed him with mind-reading. He is going back into his shell now. A perfectly understandable and psychologically accurate dilemma. I understand where Adachi is coming from. Kurosawa, who always puts Adachi ahead of himself, as the perfect man who always pleases others gave him the opportunity to keep his magic if that makes him more confident, even if Kurosawa suffers from that pain. They both very much did what were in line with their characters at this stage. They both need to change their attitudes to resolve this situation. Adachi needs to learn he is a valuable person even without Kurosawa's support as well as Kurosawa needs to be a bit more selfish.
