We get the BLs we think we deserve. Super curious about your thoughts on the show actually.
To me it was a heartwarming and interesting exploration of two soul-searching and imperfect Asian guys with different upbringing trying to reach out to each other and temporarily failing because they both have a lot to learn, grow, mature and heal. It was nicely shot, well-acted and reasonably brightly written for all that, conveying some important messages and giving some interesting aspects of different cultural backgrounds. There were things obviously and inevitably rushed, and I am quite sure that is due to the limited budget of the production team. Tastes are different and each to their own, but in general kisses, skinship and immaculately happy fairy tale ending are all most BL fans care about, and this show delivers none of those. And I do have a safe bet that most of those trashing it are pissed for those reasons.
I didn't really like it as much as I expected to. Even though everyone shared their traumas, the whole thing came…
Both seasons of His Man are far more superficial and the participants are far less open than they were in this one. As much as I like that Korean dating show, both seasons are pale shadows of this one despite their much higher budget.
Edgy, magnetic, tightly written 2 character chamber piece with a cleverly constructed narrative filled with suspense and surprises. Stunning performances from Romnick and Elijah. Certainly not for the less complicated minds.
It never ceases to amaze me to what extent some viewers require spoonfeeding by characters to speak up their emotions just because they are too dense to read from them.
Joshua is clearly attracted to Andre and his sarcasm is clearly a defence mechanism as he was obviously hurt and heartbroken in his previous relationship. If that is not clear for you after 4 episodes then you are a lost cause. Sorry not sorry.
The trailer looked promising and the first episode did not disappoint. Witty and engaging, with brisk writing and playing, as well as two interesting personalities to contrast via bickering dialogue.
Enjoyed this very much. Seems to be under-rated and over-criticized here on MDL.
The overwhelmingly immature teenagers of MDL cannot handle adult dramas like this. If cheating is also involved they spectacularly lose their shit and rage.
The most possibly beautiful bittwersweet ending to a wonderful little series, full of heart. Thank you for the smiles and the tears, Regal Entertainment, Philippines.
This is now slowly but surely becoming an emotional, edgy and thought-provoking character drama with interesting main characters, both played very well.
Just like Happy Merry Ending, this was a cute, average, mildly enjoyable, rather perfunctory, likeable romance, but I had a look at some of the reviews. Good grief, I wonder how some people get on with their lives and do their grocery without being felt they are ‘abused’. This world has gone totally crazy.

2. There is no kiss because dramaturgically it is absolutely not justified ffs.
