If people watch the most darkest BL movies Japan has done, they may have a "heart attack", i mean this drama is…
Actually Hollywood has explored some of those issues quite long ago also. There is a classic movie from 1971, Summer of '42 in which a 15-year-old boy has an affair wth an adult married woman.
I just realized that in episode 3 when the guys were teasing that girl to confess to Hira and Kiyoi intervened…
There are loads of glances from Kiyoi at Hira. He is always staring him back when Hira does not see it. There are several occasions when he is surrounded by the guys or the fangirls tiptoing around him but he is just seeking Hira. These are one of those precious little details one has to look for and watch very carefully. The superficial obeserver is likely to miss them and hence comes to so false conclusion.
I didn't write any comments here but I want to share my thought and vent about how I like this so much..I see…
This rooting for Koyama is just as ridiculous as rooting for Bas against Teh in ITSAY and IPYTM. The same impertinent and entitled social justice warrior mentality when people do not like a character and they decide another one is better for the protagonist and do an imaginary matchmaking, regardless of how the characters feel, who they love, who they are happy with. Because they know better what is good for them. They don't give a shit that matching Hira with Koyama or matching Oh-aew with Bas are deeply incorrect and dishonest. Koyama and Bas deserve someone to whom they are the number ones.
It is the same mentality when your mother wanna tell you to date Z instead of X, because Z is so nice and rich, has a good job and satisfactory family background. And they just do not get it.
Atleast hira is not using him just because kyoma is nice to him like some people do because they like the attention…
I would not waste my time if I were you. He is clearly one of those who stuck on the surface and does not grasp an ounce of what is happening in this show.
Just because you don't like a fictional show that explores the themes you don't like, you'd put down all Japanese…
The age consent in Europe is genereally way under 18, in Italy it is down to 14, even though Call Me By Your Name takes place in the 1980s, so I genuinely think there's nothing wrong with that, especially nowadays that 14 old ones are actively practicing sex. But don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you. The comment you are responding to is an abomination. I don't know whether you are Japanese or not but I apologize on their behalf for this unbelievable offence.
For those wondering whether to watch this weekly or binge watch it when it is over:
1. With such a complex, twistly plotted, unsettling thriller - especially if the abundance of plot stays like this - 14 episodes may well be way too much to digest at once, and you may certainly miss several important little details.
2. With series like Manner of Death or this one keep guessing, making calculations and theories, analyzing each installment, trying to indentify the villain in between two episodes are parts of the fun. More entertaining this way.
What an intriguing, mesmerizing, unsettling mystery. The last time I felt this edge of the seat nervousness and excitement was Manner of Death. Gun and Off are excellent but Mond, First and Sing shine as well. I am breathless.
okay i just rewatched ep 3 for like the 937th time (oops) & now i'm confused...the day that kiyoi lost the competition,…
Basically Hira has never told Kiyoi that he loves him as a man. He always tells him that he is the one and only for him, but never in a romantic way. He tells him that he is the only person towards whom he feels like that and he is basically not attracted to boys or girls either. Hira confesses that he jerked off at Kiyoi's picture but immediately after he swears it was once only and he felt uncomfortable that he disrespected his king. These are not what Kiyoi wants to hear. Kiyoi wants to hear that Hira is sexually attracted to men like him. He wants to hear that Hira loves him as a man and wants to be his bf instead of being his bootlicking servant who worships him from a far.
So it seems we gonna see the scene in flashback where Hira stands up to Kiyoi and himself and attacks the bullies. It was intentionally not shown back then only to include it when Kiyoi's POV comes. Very clever touch.
There are 6 eps in total. This was confirmed from when the drama started airing. This is not addressed at you,…
GagaOOLala tends not to display all the episodes' links of their shows in total on their platforms from the beginning. Paint with Love is currently up to 4 only, even though the series is gonna have 10 episodes.
I find it weird that majority of non-Japanese fans only have negative things to say about this series. When this…
I am a European guy and I tremendously enjoy this show, it is one of my favourites out of the ongoing BLs. And thankfully comments have been overwhelmingly positive here lately (even though mydramalist is infamous for its generally negative comments under just about everything).
Yagi Yusei. Wow.
