Thank you again. I'm relieved that I'm not the only one who appreciates and enjoys and loves this series.
I am quite sure we are not alone but several people are just discouraged from commenting due to the overwhelming presence of hate-watchers.

And here we are. That is what I am talking about. Spoonfeeding. If the script leaves something up to the viewer to figure out instead of the characters speaking their emotions into the camera, the majority is lost. Sigh.

Finally, one more person who does not need spoonfeeding from the director and screenwriter to be capable to analyze the situatuons of complex and flawed characters. Kudos.

I swear I scroll through this dreary comment section and skip nearly all comments (like they allegedly skip scenes at 1.5x) every week here just to look for your analysis. My mind boggles how others cannot see these obvious proceedings and feasible motivations behind the characters. And god dammit they write one after another that it was so slow. After probably the most eventful and pacy episode. I sometimes feel the majority have zilch sense or skill to feel and understand complex and flawed characters. This is not the first case here, but possibly this is the most spectacular example I can recall.

Nearly all of my predictions turned out to be true and things started to make even more sense after episode 9. I seriously feel pity for all who cannot appreciate this slow-burning, compulsively engrossing tale.

Title Bite Me
I have to say this last episode was jarring. I wasn’t expecting that at all, and certainly not any drama to…
Apart from the gay panic, Aek could have also been upset by thinking that whatever Aue has told him about his talents for gastronomy might have been just outright lies to get him laid. Remember his reaction when Aue signed him up to the competition without asking for his permission first. Aek is coming from a not so better off upbringing but he has pride and dignity. I am not saying this was the case, but that is a possible take on the proceedings as well as the gay panic and the fright of not being able to suit his (otherwise apparently very supportive) mom's expectations. Both are highly consistent with Aek's character. Once again, I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say it came out of nowhere. This refusal was very plausible and as a matter of fact, at this stage the highly unlikely and out-of-character move would have been Aek running to Aue's arms without hesitation. It is also quite clear why Aek seeked Wiphob's help in the hospital. He obviously did not want to discuss this rejection with his friends, who know everything and to whom he does not want to give explanations right now. Wiphob is a virtually neutral person who does not ask, and that is what he needs now. Once again, people do not bother to analyze the situation and the characters, they just want steamy action and they wanna see Aek and Aue like dogs in heat, simply because we have passed episode 8, and they think it is about time, even at the expense of convincing dramaturgy.

Title Love Is Science? Spoiler
I am getting a bit sick of Asain shows constantly coming up with excuses for abusive and homophobic reactions from parents. I know it is a cultural thing in Asia that the parents are always worried about their children's future and that is why they are complete asseholes like here. But irl that is not always the case, they are often selfish shitbags who care more about the talk of the town than the happiness of their child. I am also quite sick of prompting that gays should always come out on bended knees to their parents and apologizing in tears for what they are, otherwise it is disrespectful. I know, it is Asia, I know they need time, but just enough of that.

I thought I would put out something about why I like this series without attacking anyone that doesn’t like…
I am not gonna be that generous. It is beyond brain-damaging to get through the hill of unintelligible comments from the infantile 1*25 speed TikTok generation crap to the "skipping scenes but I don't know what scenes to be skipped if you ask directly" TikTok generation crap. One feels they just jump on the band wagon and copy-paste the idiotic canned whine-scheme buzzwords. It is not about diverse opinions or difference in taste, because the point is, like you said, they talk utter nonsense. Literally it is not what they say is happening on the screen. One bullshit after another. They claim nothing happens while we have already learnt a lot from the characters' background, past stories, challenges and dilemmas. I feel after every single episode that I know and understand more about them. We know where they came from and where they are heading to with what packages. The latest episode was particularly eventful and rich in detail. Then they have reached from the repetated "slow, slow, slow" moaning to call the acting bad. Christ on a fecking bike, what are they smoking? I don't know when I saw such nuanced, amiably restraint, sublime, absorbing and accomplished performances with subtle gestures in Thai BL last time. Not quite the ITSAY/IPYTM level, but not far from that and certainly on par with ATOTS or The Yearbook. I have always liked the comic turn of Zani Nipaporn Thititanakarn (Nuna) but in episode 7 she surprised me with her depth as well. The plot sufficiently moves to the right direction, every character behaves at this stage as it is logical and beleivable, but hey-ho they should hurry up and get laid, because we are already at episode 7 and BL viewer demands skinship to get their panties wet. It so patethic. I seriously pity them.

It seems we won't get away with the usual far-fetched miscommunication and jealousy trope in the cursed penultimate 11th episode. It is a pity. This show has thankfully avoided them so far for most of the time.

Despite its short running time a smartly written, snappy and amiably played chamber piece on the Quarantine theme, the latter still seems to be able to come up with trumps.
