I posted this in another comment, but a few of us are going to do a watch party tomorrow for the finale if anyone is interested! I'll post a link tomorrow before the episode drops on Netflix at about 11:30kst or 8:30am cst. Please come join if you can! 😊
i have a hugeee vibe that they won't end up together.and if they don't theyll probably have either a comedic ending…
You don't have to worry, there s a 0% chance they don't end up together. Maybe a few episodes ago I could have seen that but not now. There is no indication or foreshadowing of their demise and it would feel out place and off kilter. I trust the writer to not throw the whole drama down the drain for a shock ending.
You are going to be disappointed then. But I also disagree, there is more things that come out about why she broke…
I think in the their present relationship they have been much better at communicating and opening up, they have told each other things that had never had in their 5 years before. I think they still have a ways to go YS in particular but she is so much better than she was and she has her reasons to not be forthcoming fully yet. I have no doubt that she will open up to him fully.
And I guess that is just a difference of opinion. I think sometimes you can be with the right person at the wrong time, or after the breakup each party was able to mature and grow so their relationship is healthier. For them in particular I really don't think their is anyone else for them, they only see and love each other so it wouldn't make sense for them to be with other people.
But anyways thanks for the discourse I have enjoyed talking to you despite our differing opinions
As I m on the half way through the show, on Netflix, I really hope they end up separately. Not every show should…
You are going to be disappointed then. But I also disagree, there is more things that come out about why she broke up with but not everyone has been able to understand her. The leads have never stopped loving each other and it's been 5 years. For Ung no one brings him out of his shell like YS and no one brings him joy like YS. For YS Ung has been one of the only people who has understood her and not judged her for her life circumstances. This is unpopular but I think they needed to break up, they were young and foolish when they dated and the breakup allowed them to grow and to be better partners to each other now.
As for NJ she's lovely, but not a good fit. Ung doesn't really feel like himself around her and he has never had any interest in her at all. Besides I think her love is misguided, she is lonely instead of grabbing on to a man to heal her loneliness she really needs a true friend.
I also don't understand why you want Ji-Ung to assimilate into a version of Ung, that wouldn't heal his trauma or fix anything. Similarly with NJ, Ji-Ung love is misguided and YS has never been interested in him. He needs to deal with some things in his past to heal his loneliness not date YS.
Anyways those are just my thoughts we clearly have different view points, I would give it a few more episodes but we might never see eye to and that's ok. If you still feel this way in a few more episodes it might be better to drop though.
I thought this would be just a normal romcom (like a used plot ) but a lot of ppl seem to really like it? Could…
It is not a normal romcom lol, it has a lot of angst, but the characters are really well written and the performances are top tier. I think a lot of the stories and characters are easy to relate to and realistic and that's why people love it so much. Plus the chemistry is amazing. It's truly one of a kind and I suggest you give it a try
I think there are many who understand her story like me, so it's not that they couldn't come up with a plotline…
It's not just that she was poor, it's that her whole life she was told she wasn't worthy for things she couldn't control. So she internalized her struggles and felt that her circumstances were a reflection of herself. YS felt like she wasn't worthy of Ung's love, she felt that she would burden him by staying. She was in completely overwhelming situation that she couldn't control. Her life was spinning out of control and all she could do is survive. It's fulfilling, but tiring to be with someone no matter how much you love them and at that time she didn't have the energy or time to focus on anything but getting out of her situation. So she left him behind. I don't think it was the best move, but it was understandable and many would make the same choice as her. Also you have to remember she was young and dealing with some really heavy things, a lot of us wouldn't be able to handle it either. I love her character and I understand her. I hope this helps!
I love the show and I still can't get over the fact that the FL broke up with a guy, she was with for 5 YEARS…
I think there are many who understand her story like me, so it's not that they couldn't come up with a plotline it's that if you haven't experienced it you might not understand. The effects of poverty and financial crisis are not often talked about this candidly, so I love her story and how they represented it. I'll put more of my thoughts in another comment so it doesn't get too long
Also the person that edits the preview is really good at their job because they can turn a fluffy episode into a dramatic one. They are basically crafting a whole new story at this point lol That's why I'm not worried about tomorrows preview, they have fooled us to many times for me to be concerned haha
It looks good, I'm waiting for this drama to finish. How is it so far? Much romance?
The main plot is about the romance between the mains so there is quite a lot in the back half but they do take a bit to get to accept each other as partners again. It's so brilliant like I can't over state how good this drama is. It's not over yet, so I can update you on my thoughts after it finishes but I don't think anything can derail my opinion on it. I trust the team behind OBS because they have done such a wonderful job so far.
There is, I don't think it's too bad as in it doesn't take away a lot of the focus, but it can be a bit annoying…
Never. The leads attention are just on each other and there is no room in their hearts for anyone else, so there is nothing to worry about on that front lol
