People who want the leads to not end up together need to understand that the leads are supposed to find out the…
Yes 100% agree with you here. I'm not sure why this drama is being so heavily misunderstood, the genre is romantic comedy and it's been clear from the start that the core of this drama is to show their character development and for them rekindle and fix their relationship. Not to mention it's been stated by both Kim Da Mi and Chio Woo Sik that YS & CW are soulmates. Like obviously they will end up together.

Also, Yeonsoo isn't one who talks about, thinks about, or shows much with regards to how she really feels, that's…
Fully agree with you. Especially with the impatient part, like there is so much drama left and actually 8 hours is quite a lot of time. It's definitely enough time for proper character development. I have a feeling too that the back half will flip around and show YS's perspective. This drama has been so good at making something seem one way and flipping it around saying no it was actually like this. I feel very strongly that they will do this for YS and her insight on their relationship. Just give it time to unfold people. It's disappointing because I like the sense of community but so much negativity and judgment before the show is even done has started to affect my viewing experience. Thank you for saying this.

Exactly my thoughts. But i hope she learns from her mistakes and change for better
I think she doesn't feel comfortable initiating as he has consistently lashed out on her even when she wasn't to blame (see: Seon shop incident) I wouldn't be able to initiate even if I was the reason for the breakup, would you?
Also I never said poor people can't have romance. I am very poor yet still in a relationship. I just meant that being poor comes with burdens that other do not have. She was unjustly burdened with heavy responsibility that in the end was too much pressure. Was it the most valid reason to end the relationship? No, but it was realistic. She should have communicated better, but if she was perfect there would be no room for her character development and in the end that is the core of this drama.

One person says "She broke up whenever she wanted and now she is getting close to him because she wants to now."You…
Why must she though? Ung has repeatedly lashed and hurt her even when she didn't do anything wrong. Would you be able open up and approach someone if they continuously lashed out? Why is the onus of blame constantly on her. Not mention she did make a step towards him she asked him twice if she should stay or go. That's Yeon Su's way of moving closer to him. She's a closed of character mostly from her troubled life. It would be unrealistic if she just up and dropped her main defensive mechanism out of the blue.

I am so used to seeing FLs getting flakes for the tinniest things that now I have become indifferent to it...…
Yes even though I have been in drama land for a long time I still get frustrated at everyone blaming the FL for everything. It's like they are expected to be perfect characters who do no wrong, but even then people still find reasons to hate FL's. ML's get to flawed imperfect characters, they even get to be borderline abusive. God forbid FL's also be flawed and imperfect. That's just unacceptable for some reason...

well said, the problem was 50/50 and we'll surely see what was YS pov. such a beautiful and great show so far.
Thank you! And I agree, it is really beautiful and nuanced show. Can't wait for future episodes to see their story unfold even more!

I'm getting so frustrated at all the comments blaming YS for everything. First we have seen most of their relationship from CW pov. Of course it is going to biased in his favor. He is still hurt and can't see how he contributed to their problems. We don't have the full picture yet. The drama has hinted that's the issues were 50/50. This is not the first time that it made it look like one way only to turn around and show it was actually more complicated. Also it's been clear that Cw has issues communicating too. In fact he tends to lash out at her quite often. Wouldn't you find it hard to open up if someone kept lashing out at you.

Secondly YS broke up with him because she was poor. All she could do was survive and it made her close off. We've all saw her friends talking shit about her because she couldn't give them anything in return, obviously that would hurt someone. YS desperately wanted to have a normal life but she couldn't, yet she still tried her best, still made time for CW even though she was struggling just to survive. All she had was her pride and her pride betrayed her as it often does.

Lastly this whole show is about character development and we are only half way through. We still have 8 more hours for her to develop and become a better person. It's premature to make sweeping statements that she/the relationship are a lost cause. Also almost no one was saying these things before the last two episodes. If two episodes can drastically change your opinion about her why can't future episodes sway opinion back in her favor?

Exactly my thoughts. But i hope she learns from her mistakes and change for better
But your forgetting this is a drama and not a perfect picture of reality. The whole point is to show their character development. So far with information presented I could see how she could be seen in a negative light, but it's very clear we don't have the full picture. So far we have mostly seen CW pov so of course it's going to be biased in his favor. The drama has hinted that the problems were most likely 50/50.

Yes YS ran away, she said it was due to pride, but pride from being poor which is different. When you are that poor pride is the only thing you have and it can lie to you. It tells you to give up the things you want even if is against what is really best for you. If you have never been extremely poor before it might be hard to understand, but I understand her. Also she is not poor anymore.

Before these last two episodes almost no one said anything negative about her character. If two episodes can drastically change peoples views on her why is it so impossible that it won't happen in the other direction. I think alluding that her and the relationship is a lost cause when we are only half way through is premature.

I am so fed up of people blaming yeon su for the relationship failing. Like yes her communication skills are lacking…
Fucking thank you. I've been saying over and over that we are basically only seeing the relationship from his point of view and it's already been proven that CW & YS are unreliable narrators. Of course his pov is going to be biased as he clearly is still hurt and won't see how he contributed to their relationships problems. Plus the show has hinted a few times is the blame is 50/50, but everyone keeps blaming her when we don't have the full picture yet. It's frustrating.

i want to know how is she a bad gf? she did a lot of things for woongshe became his first friend other than jw,…
YS was mean to others and closed off because she was poor. Do you not remember the scene where she overheard her friends talking about how she never does anything for them. Not because she didn't want to but because she couldn't. She also wasn't nice to only him, she clearly loves her grandmother and friends. She just has a lot of pride and defense mechanism which can happen when you are extremely poor. Was she perfect in that relationship? No. Was CW perfect in their past relationship either? Probably not.

It's important to remember that both CW and YS are unreliable narrators. So far we seen most of their relationship from CW perspective, so of course it's going to be biased in his favor. We are not going to see his faults because he's still hurt and won't remember the ways he hurt her too.

Also just because they were unhealthy in the past doesn't mean they will always be. YS and CW have already begun to change in subtle ways and we still have 8 more hours for their character development. It's been clear that development of their relationship/characters has always been the core of the show. It might just take a while.

you're in the minority haha, but may i know why?the majority of us certainly think that dami and wooshik undeniably…
I disagree that she hasn't changed. Just in this past episode we already see character development. We've seen her be much more vulnerable and feel remorse for her past actions. For the first we've seen her cry in front of someone else which is a good sign she's tearing down some of those walls.

And while it was her pride that caused the break up it was pride from being in extreme poverty. Pride can be a trap sometimes, its incredibly difficult and embarrassing to be poor so you hold onto pride to get you through it. But it also tells you to give up things that you want just because you are afraid of being embarrassed. So I can empathize with her reasoning for the breakup.
Also a lot of their fights have only be shown for CW perspective so who knows if that's an accurate picture of their relationship.

Regarding NJ, I see her as more needing an escape and being bored. I don't see true affection from her, as in my eyes a lot her actions have been performative, whereas I don't get that from Yeon Su. Anyways that's my two cents. Sorry for the wall text lol

Yes it is your right to express your thoughts, the problem is when you begin to call us fools and delusional for enjoying something that you do not. And again it's not a copy and paste. The overarching plot and character/character set ups are unique. Something can have tropes but still be original. Anyways this is last the last time I will reply, it's clear that we will never see eye to eye and I don't think this conversation is productive.
