She broke up with him because she was very poor and couldn't escape her reality. She narrated it as she was afraid he would find out her inferiority complex, and that she was to prideful. The issue is more complicated than that though and I suggest you watch the episodes to get the full picture.
I loved loved loved seeing Ji-Woong perspective this episode. His line "I don't feel like I am the maim character in this life" hit me hard. I really think he is an interesting and fresh character and I am looking forward to him finding his voice and sense of self. So far this drama is beautifully written and all the characters feel fresh and realistic. I'm not worried about the love triangle as I feel as it will be less tedious and more healing. Also Chio Woong asking Yeon Su to stay over ahhhh I was not expecting that. I can't wait for tomorrow!
Yeah, I know some will be disappointed and hopefully it's done well. But it's pretty much guaranteed at that this point so I wanted people to be prepared because I've seen many comments that are still unsure and hoping that it won't happen
I think that everyone needs to manage their expectations because I am 99% sure that Ji Woong has/ will have feelings for Yeon Soo. Honestly I am not super worried about it as so far the drama has been great about handlining clichés in a fresh and purposeful way and I trust the writers to not make it tedious and annoying. Who knows maybe it will be done so well that it add to the drama instead of subtract from it. Only time will tell I guess
To be honest I don't understand why there is such hate for tropes and cliché's . Especially in the romantic comdeny…
Hate used in this way is common term to make an observation about a certain thing that is disliked by a group of people. An example is, what is with all hate with pineapples on pizza? It has nothing to do with fan culture.
Secondly, you will not find any piece of media out without tropes. It's impossible. There can be tropes you don't like and tropes you do, but you are not going to find any story without tropes.
Lastly, that one is entirely your opinion, I did not feel as though I was being treated as an idiot, the story was unique and interesting to me and I liked a lot of the characters. I thought the writing and story elements were nice. Yes there were elements found in other stories, but every story will have that. Also it's a romcom, it's not going to be ground breaking, which is perfectly fine.
Writer saw whatever romance cliche and trope and put the altogether in 1st week itself. Everything is copy-paste…
To be honest I don't understand why there is such hate for tropes and cliché's . Especially in the romantic comdeny genre. Tropes are there becuase they work, most people don't watch a romantic comedy for somthing completely original. Its ment to be comforting and tropes are a part of that. Also its only been two episodes to make a sweeping statement that the drama has failed in plot and characters is bit dramatic
The second episode was much better for me. It felt better paced and the characters more fleshed out. I reallt enjoyed it. So excited for future episodes.
Also it's pretty much confimed in my eyes that the king know Hwi is actually yeon seon. After todays episode, I wouldn't be surprised if he dies soon and confesses shortly before that he knew the truth about Hwi all along.
At first I thought I was going to have SLS syndrome but Ji woon is shaping up to be a great ML. I loved the ending scene and I love their romance and deeper connection with each other. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!
Also Chio Woong asking Yeon Su to stay over ahhhh I was not expecting that. I can't wait for tomorrow!
