BOF was first one where i wiched that drama makers just change all script and go with second lead...i know it was impossible. In other adaptions of this story i didnt wanted change things like this.
I really wait for one day when they make drama where second lead gets girl....but...does this makes him first lead and first lead to second lead?...it is confusing.

Thanks for recommending Gokusen in Re-watch thread ..... i really tried to watch it but...it is still so silly and childich drama with poor acting, where actors deliver text with pathos or just declamate it down and thous cliche jokes give me goosepumps.
Mine flaw is - i really hate "manga style" done dramas. I want drama to be drama...sigh, mine taste is weird...and sry. for ranting.
Maybe you take second peek and can do re-recomending? I would be very thankful...<3
first episode: main actor acts stiff and awkward, gives texts like doing declamation. Other actors arent better. Owerall style: " want to be live manga"
episode two: acting and text delivering still wooden, add here clishe with "3 stupid fangirls", lame, predictable slapstick jokes and some bad hairdos. This drama maker still dreams about becoming mangaka.
episode three: acting is still same, story gets boring and predictable, everybody gives speeches with pathos...i get sleepy.
Time to drop this drama: script has some potential, directing and acting ruined all. Mostly i was disappointed in Koike Teppei acting abilities what are on very low level, only few voice tones and limited number facial expressions. From some camera angle he really looks cute...but this doesnt make drama good.

...eee, i see you finished Pride. What is next Kimuras drama what you want to start? Im watching now Jinsei wa Jojo da, i like it.
It somehow reminds me Gift but Gift is made many years after JwJd.
Mine biggest dream is find place what streams Wakamono no Subete or Sono Toki, Heart wa Nusumareta but i fear hope to see them streamed is thin, sigh.
actually i am kind of getting sick of many of those romantic drama, because they tend to have the same cliché…
drama watching is like makeing huge sandwitch or cake - you must layer.
One layer sweet and one layer sour and one layer spicy and one layer salty and...
Plain bread might take away hunger but...gets boring soon.
I have seen most of them (not all) and liked more or less. I think i take a peek to others what i havent seen jet.
I agree, there is alot good romantic dramas more but i understand that it is nearly impossible write them all down here - this would make article so loooooooooooooooooooong.
Anyway, thanks for this article, i like to read what other people think about dramas what i like too and same way i like to get some recomendations for future watching. Great job!! <3

...eee, is this remake again...or is this new season? Im tired of endless flow of remakes, it shows only lack of creativity.
I hope it is new season...please say so, snif.
All Kimura fangirls, lets meet in http://mydramalist.com/forum/showthread.php?1876-Discussion-Kimura-Takuya

HI!
You asked how you can watch dramas here, in MDL. Answer is - you cant watch dramas in MDL bc MDL is only wikiweb+personal dramalist+forum for dramafans.
To watch drama you need: find it in TV/Cinema shedule or buy/rent it or search in internet and download/stream it.
I hope this doesnt scare you away from MDL bc keeping dramalist here is very handy and people in forum are interesting to talk and wikipages are good source for choseing next drama to watch.
Just can't help but liking Pride very much after only three episodes (well, in fact after the first one, but things…
His pouting face is cute too and his cold glance is freezing, his confused look is adorable...he is actor with thousand face and you want see thous all... :D
Thank you Elisabetta and NinaJade82 for this atricle. <3<3 and big bow to you. Kimuras works from his younger…
Hajimete no Natsu (Airplane Brothers) was movie from 1993 not 1990.
On 1990 he was in movie Kokoro no Kagami (Mirror of the Heart) and in minidrama "Otouto".
surprisingly was better than i predicted, not gem but just good.

That definition would be ok :D :D MDL is just so young and users of it are mainly young or just started with drama-mania ( :D like me ), so it is kinda normal here that people doesnt know well dramas what are older than few year to past, not to speaking about dramas from 19XX ( sadly thous are nowdays hard to find too after MU's death)
I see you completed VP2, I watched few first episodes and then saved it for later bc i liked it and i love watch good dramas in marathon - the feel is then more powerful.
Btw. do you like some older (aired before 2003 ) good dramas what would be worth to suggesting? Im very thankful for every suggested title...

oeh, this is MDL. If you look Kimuras other dramas statistics it looks kinda same.
Exsample: HERO
Currently watching:31
Completed:337
Plan to watch:160
On-hold:28
Dropped:17
Total:573
But....
"Hero achieved the highest Japanese TV drama ratings record in 25 years (average audience share over the entire series = 34.3%). It was so successful that it spawned a 2006 miniseries and a feature film entitled Hero: The Movie which reached #3 on the 2007 top grossing film chart in Japan."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero_(2001_TV_series)
Very well known drama, very popular even now, awarded and widely loved not only in Japan.

:D Engine is very good drama but...it isnt hidden gem, it is very popular drama with very famous lead actor in main role. (yay, Kimura!)
Btw. I see you have on PTW list drama HERO with him, it is good and funny. And i suggest to you his new drama Priceless, it has kids, it has fun, it has serious moments, not to mention very good team of actors.
Kimura is one of mine fav. actors, so i hope you forgive me this fangirling here :D
