This ending was like someone gives you one Pringles chip and then takes the whole tube away. I just want something a little more. In fact, so many of the cdrama endings are like this! 😭 The standard for good thorough ending is Legend of Shenli for me since that gave me closure.

Oh yes this is definitely a good xianxia and you should give it a shot. Apologies if it came across rude.

I actually like the idea of equivalent exchange in this world. A lot of other xianxia has the deities kind of able to do whatever, but here it is a monkey's paw thing to plead for a change and you don't know the price beforehand. Divine Clan was screwed either way I guess.

Ep 35 also answered all my previous questions and Emperor ZM was the bestest human emperor. He got such a raw deal because of Fate. After being scolded like for 10K (yikes, constant rebirth of abandonment by your lovers?) I'm pretty sure Fate is now actually doing Hao Tian's will which kind of sounds like pressing the Reset Button on the world with Demon Lord by killing everyone. Hao Tian is such a jerk. I can't wait for these last few eps!

After Ep34 I was like omg nooo they died?? And they're going to die again? Please give a happy long life for once.

I think I held my breath for the entirety of Ep 35. 😧 Wow that was a loaded episode.

All the ones recommend by BaekhyunoonaID are good Wuxia. I would not consider this Wuxia there is no jianghu in this world. I think this is a great xianxia but I do not want to recommend if someone is looking for that genre.

Oof that was rough. I wish they had done two episodes today with EP 35 because it looks like EP 36 comes back to the present and I was dying to find out just WTH happened in the past. 😔

These later episodes are important in setting the stage for what is to come. There's a lot of question still on what exactly happened because we can see 10K years later that no one remembers the wonderful ZM, the three Abyss stooges don't remember their old selves and many humans can cultivate but in the past it was only ZM. So many questions!

One thing I noticed is Book's hypocrisy. He tells Pearl that it is Hao Tian law for artifacts to not have feelings. But he is the one who's gone directly against Hao Tian because of his feelings for Pearl. Hao Tian says hey the sky broke let only Pearl fix, and Book asks if he can help and gets a big No but he does anyway. Pearl is supposed to recharge with sun and moon for 1k years and she may not have even supposed to be awake at this time but Book missed her too much so he bring her back in 10 years using some special blood. He is also emotional in and he seems to only follow the rule of Pearl+Book 4Evah in Eternity.

I adore Pearl she is sooo cute, earnest and openly loving. That is why I refuse to believe that she betrayed ZM like that illusion showed. Even under the Heartstring and Disillusion water, she fought like hell against them to not harm XXC and she would have been the same just as much in the past.

Demon Lord diva entrance is one of my favorite character intro ever. 🔥

This is fantastic and I agree completely with this analysis.

I once commented how NXY early on seemed like a broken human, like missing something and bit sociopathic. Well.. we find out why! And I'm glad the actor was so well able to portray how this character so well, how he can mimic being a human enough but can't never fully be one.

So I learned:

This is ALL Book's fault. I mean he tried to take a shortcut to recharge Pearl apparently by using ZM's blood instead of just waiting for the sun and moon. It was faster but she gained more humanity and fell in love with ZM. Pearl was already getting a little tired of being a boring divine artifact anyway and wanted to experience life which is a taboo for them so of course she would not go back.

But then again without Book's poor decision making, we wouldn't have the story of their great love and the hilarious ways He Zhou corrupted Pearl like teaching her gambling. 😄

Wow EP 31 has enough backstory for a whole new series. This show has no drag.

Like the High Cycle Divinity said, the struggle to change destiny is also destiny. It makes me wonder if Book and Pearl are going through some sort of tribulations at this point to become more than artifacts and all of this is part of their destiny.

So.. there is an even bigger divine boss Hao Tian and this seems like a true god level and created Book of Fate and Chaos Pearl. They both have jobs to keep order. Then some Divine Clan got bad and killed good Divine Clan and took over Divine Realm. Pearl got drained at this point and fell to human world and regenerated with help from Emperor ZM. The evil Divine Clan is now making humans suffer and do children sacrifices and such so the Emperor ZM has just about had it and is going to fight the oppression. Also falls for Pearl who is apparently always super adorable and aggressively affectionate. This plot is so unexpected and I can't wait for the next episodes.

It could be that it's late so I'm not thinking properly but EP 30 was kind of confusing. 🤔

Credit to this actor, that he is so well portraying XXC and also the totally different Demon Lord.

Ep 29

Oh these two, sacrificing for each other over and over, it is true like TMS said...they love each other so much but can't never be together. How to break this cycle? I also loved how we can see what actually happened in the past ar Moonlight Heights and why XXC got more powerful during his seclusion.

Sad that everyone's soul pieces are now gone but I gotta say though...that Demon Lord entrance was something. 🪭😳
