As much as I like the male actor and the fantasy plot line, the childish tones from both of them ruined it for me. Both are sun and moon gods and even as mortals, they’re adults too. Acting like 10-13 yo olds acting all cute while they are adults is ridiculous. Grow up a bit more then it’ll be perfect! Also, in any fantasy plot line, Let’s not make the female leads naive and stupid either. In this one, She‘s sun goddess first and as a human, she shouldn’t be portrayed as naive either. She should be fierce and strong instead.

It’s a drama with an open ending… you decide what happens after….

So far, the focus put on the eldest princess and not enough on Emperor and Bai Lu storyline is distracting esp with only 25 episodes. Youku also needs to turn up the romance between leads soon!

I just read that the reason they keep putting off airing TLP is because they want to release it the same week YOuKu releases Legend of Anle.

This irritates me because we haven’t had any good historical drama since Love like the Galaxy and Immortal Samara. No good costume dramas in October. Withdrawal symptoms here lol. They keep this up, I may as well go cold turkey and not watch Asian dramas for awhile lol.

If Bai jue would just let her sacrifice herself to the tribulation the first time instead of pausing it she would be back within 500 years as Bai Jue did at the end. They went through 60,000 years of pain just to find that out.

For some, it can go for 10-20 years. For others, if it’s bulbar onset. It’s likely the fast progressing one. For her, it looks to be limbs onset so it’s slow progressing als.

I think you meant personality wise? they’re so different and I don’t see how he would be attracted to her in real life if she acts like that esp in the beginning but then again this is drama land… anything’s possible! Sometimes opposites attract each other too.

For me- I can’t stand characters in any drama or movie that play a dumb and clueless character that let misunderstandings get in way. When you truly love someone, you’d be more determined to have it resolved as soon as possible… communicate sooner but then again this is drama land…. Oh the drama! lol

It’s good but too short. Be prepared to get an open ending and emotions of disappointment. They teased viewers with super short episodes, 5 minutes episodes pretending to be 9-10 minutes long, released two at a time then left us feeling unsatisfied at the end….I suggest you wait till season 2 comes out…. If there is any planned.

I would post more thoughts about the story itself but don’t want to spoil it for those who want to watch it. Overall, cute romantic story but it’s too fast paced, lots of scenes(important details missing) esp toward the end and ending sucks!

In short, dumb plot.

Summary: Fl basically swapped bodies with her sister to exact her revenge….meanwhile during drama, she used her sister’s body to flirt with ML she likes while her sister is sleeping in the other body. As for the ending, sister who slept for most of the drama sacrificed herself and FL gets to keep her sister’s body and continue living and have a family.

Yeah I agree. I expected something else but not like this… it felt like a redo of s1 rather than continue the plot.

she chased after ML in S1. He should be the one that chases after her in S2… but I guess in both, she chases after the ML.

I’m not sure anymore… I saw elsewhere, one source said he was born in January 1990, then another source said he was born in October 1987 and then other person here said he was born in June 1996. Who knows for sure?

Good so far but painfully slow with several sudden stops lol. We are used to getting two episodes about 50 minutes long each episode with regular dramas. This one is about 10-12 minutes per episode and we only get two episodes each day so about 20 minutes worth everyday.

Imo since this is short series- may as well release them all in one sitting Or release 8 episode each day to be on same level as other regular dramas. I can only dream lol.

I think the show was okay. If anything, It was the most depressing xianxia so far. If relationships filled with heartaches like that, in real life, you move on, especially after 900 years of wandering trying to hold on and other trials. It would make sense for her to let go of YY and finally welcome Yumo and heal after she reaches mortal realm. He’s always liked her and treated her good before during and after since he came into real form.

I don’t feel the real chemistry between YD and YY even though they try hard to show it. probably because of what they had to go through enormous amount of heartache and it just didn’t make sense to stay together after all of that. so to me, it felt unauthentic and forced. I feel the chemistry between Yandan and Yumo is much more and genuine though.

Yandan committing suicide at the end was ridiculous. What would make more sense for her at that time would be to gather his primordial spirit after he sacrificed and nurture the primordial spirit with her lotus heart energy or a heavenly artifact and he would resurrect after a period of time.

So in short. It’s okay. I saw the surprise episodes and it was way short, rushed, and missing English subtitles.

Don’t bother watching this one unless you have nothing else to watch. The Fl, Qui Yan is the dumbest one. She should have told her boyfriend her issue and then decide what to do next but no, she decides to run away instead and end up torturing each other unnecessarily as a result…. There’s no common sense or logic in her decisions… of course if they did that, there will be no need to drag the drama to 69 episodes…

Other characters are ok except for Qui Yan character!

I’m not paying for another quarter subscription just for 6 episodes when I just paid for renewal quarterly subscription two weeks ago! Where’s the loyalty to vip subscribers and offer express package to them too?

Iqiyi did the same with love between fairy and devil. I guess it is a new thing.

Imo, if they’re going to pull that, I would rather they offer express option for second half of the show instead of making us wait till last week to express through. Lol.
