Agree- hard to enjoy this one with Yu Xi as the Fl. Imo, she is bad at vibing emotional romance. Same reason for her other roles so I struggle to watch her dramas. I watch this one only bec of the male lead.
The story plot had potential to be excellent but they ruined it by making the female lead the childish and dumbest one with no survival instinct, no common sense, and even infused her with an immature personality.
Beginning and middle was very good but ending was kinda ehhh. Was hoping for a big bang closure but it closed on a weak side. It was ok. Could be better.
Not watching until all episodes are released! I hate having to start stop go, stop to multiple times. It’s like reading a book, if it gets good, no one stops multiple times either, they keep reading. Glad final episode is not that far off now.

It’s a beautiful drama and story seems interesting but at same time boring. I found myself fast forwarding a lot. No chemistry between the leads either. But everyone is different so watch it and see if it’s something you like or not. I enjoyed legend of Shenli a lot more than this one.
I’ll say it.. season 2 is not as good as season 1. It felt like a hurried version and we waited 5 years for a season 2 on fast forward mode? Not holding my breath for season 3. It’ll happen when it happens.

Agree with you. The first couple or three episodes felt rushed as if they were on fast-forward mode which I didn’t like. I waited years and I get this at the beginning of season 2? It was off putting but finally got into the story by episode four. It does get better.
