Amazing Story Carried by Soulful Performances

What makes Our Movie an exceptional drama is the masterful performance of Namkoong Min. For me, he is the most talented actor, and he never fails to impress. While the plot is straightforward, it is made profoundly powerful by the compelling performances of the cast. Namkoong Min and Yeo Been are the absolute anchors of this story, and they both deliver truly phenomenal work.

Despite its slow and deliberate pace, the drama’s stunning production and cinematography kept me completely captivated, allowing me to watch the entire series in one sitting. I was immediately drawn into their early interactions, watching the gradual, believable development of his feelings for her.

The second half is a true tearjerker. Even with the tragic ending hanging over the story from the beginning, the hope you feel for the characters never fades. What I loved most about this show is the purity of their romance. Free from the usual villains and tired love triangles, the drama allows the audience to fully invest in the main characters' growth and relationship without distraction. It was also a beautiful touch to see the people around Lee Da Eum transform for the better, a testament to the show's focus on character development.

unique story that will drawn you in and won't let you go

I was hooked from the beginning and could not stop watching it. Even though it has 16 episodes, I did not mind as I was not bored for a second.

I loved the beginning; it is so fun to watch Gang Cheol and Yeo Ri interact. The best part is how Sung Jae portrayed Imugi, as it is so refreshing and really brings the character to life. He is my favorite character, and I love his acting. I liked seeing how the male and female leads' romance slowly grew. And I like that the romance is not the center of the story.
Also, the relationship between Imugi and the King was great; I love their dynamic. Ji Hoon's acting is amazing; he portrayed the King perfectly.

It has a great balance of horror/thriller/romance, and I like how they became a great team to fight the spirits and corrupted magistrates. The only negative is that I expected much more from the final battle. Also, I don't know why, but the female lead did not suit the drama; I just could not feel it, and her performance was not as great as Imugi's and the King's. Apart from that, it is a great drama with a unique storyline and great performances, and also it has a satisfying ending even it felt it was rushed.

The acting is fenomenal but not fully developed drama.

I was so looking towards the Tyrant as Seon Ho is one of my favorite actors. I think it would be better if they stick to the plan and made a movie as it is too sort for a drama and it did not fully developed the storyline. To be honest if they made a proper long drama it would be amazing as it has interesting storyline and the cast is on fire.

The acting is just fenomenal!

It is shame that they did not take a time and properly edited the screens as it could be great movie.

Also I don't really see the point to add English to the drama.
For me it is waisted potential.

What a rollercoaster of emotions!

what a rollercoaster of emotions! I love journey of their love story and how the families got together. To be honest I do not understand why there is so many negative comments.

The production,OTS and ascting is great. Soo Hyun is awesome as always.

It is a great drama. I like the storyline and even the episodes are really long I did not get bored. But I have to say towards the end the plot became a little bit enoying as I think they should concentrate more on their relationship than the ongoing revenge and the villain went totaly crazy, I think that was a little bit too much. And they sorted everything in last 5 minutes so we did not enjoy the happiness of our couple.
Overall it is a great drama.

disappointed

Well, the drama is very slow pace and it gets quite boring. It has high rating so I was expecting much more from it but I was disappointed. It only has 10 episodes but it felt like never ending story.
The only thing I liked is the acting and OST. Its shame as the story was good if they just executed in better way.

A Great Concept Ruined by Poor Execution

I was so excited for this drama because the premise sounded incredibly interesting, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a major disappointment. Despite the intriguing setup, I found myself incredibly bored while watching it.

The main issue was the storytelling; the screenwriting and pacing were not executed well at all. Instead of being hooked, I felt like the story was dragging, to the point where I actually started fast-forwarding through scenes just to get through them.

By episode 6, I decided to drop the drama entirely. I simply couldn't attach myself to the characters or care about their journey. If the writing doesn't make you feel for the people on screen, even the most interesting plot in the world can't save the show.

I didn't get the hype- Reset dissapointed

Add another one to the disappointment pile.

I know this drama has sky-high ratings and a sea of glowing reviews. But for me? It's painfully overrated.

The start was promising—I was genuinely invested. The concept hooked me. But the deeper I went, the more frustrated I became. The main leads kept making choices that felt impossibly stupid, and the execution never lived up to the premise. My interest fizzled out, and by the second half, I was just... bored.

I started skipping episodes. Eventually, I jumped straight to the ending. And honestly? I didn't miss a thing.

I just never connected with this drama. Another overhyped one that didn't deliver.

Realistic drama of hardships through the life - not a fairytale

Beautiful story of O Ae Sun and Gwan Sik, who love each other dearly and do everything for their family. The cinematography and acting are amazing.

The storytelling is awesome, and I love how they managed to switch between the past and present storylines. It is perfect. It is so hard to watch as their life was/is so hard, and all the hardships they endure. Even with sixteen long episodes, it is easy to watch, and you do not get bored. I was hooked from the beginning and could not stop watching it. To be honest, I did not like IU's character at the beginning at all; she was screaming and hysterically crying all the time. I am glad I stuck with it as it is a great drama, but be prepared as it is not a typical fairytale but a realistic portrayal family's hardships.

I think I need to watch something light and happy now.

waste of time... I was expecting much more

I am really disappointed. I was so looking forward to this drama as Woo Shik is one of my favorite actors. It's so boring. I forced myself to finish it as I had no other option because I watched it on the flight.

Also, the story is very realistic, but it seems absurd that he did not even text her about what was happening, and the lack of communication is frustrating. I hoped it would get better after a few more episodes, but no. Ten episodes never felt so long.
The brothers' story was very sad to watch, but that is it. I did not care about the main couple, and the chemistry was missing. To be honest, it was a wasted 10 hours.

Fast paced drama full of action and intrigues.

It's a fast-paced historical drama based on real events. It all happens in 24 hours, so there is a lot of action, plotting, and tactics. It's interesting to see how the events are going to turn out as life beside palace walls is a matter of life or death. I like that the queen is a great tactician and thinks a few steps ahead.
I did not mind the sexual scenes as they fit well in the drama. They could make more episodes to fully develop the characters. The acting was great, except for Jong Seon, as she does not fit in the drama. I can't help but feel her expression is just ruining the experience for me. Chang Woo and Soo Hyuk did a great job portraying the king and the crazy prince.

Apart from that, I really enjoyed the drama. It was a great watch, but I don't like that it ended at the best part. And I am not sure if we are getting a season 2.

love Wei wei and Chi Chwng relationship...but producing could have been better.

When I watched the first episode, I wasn't sold. The dabbing is terrible, but after a while, you will get used to it. Also, the production and editing are not great. The way they change scenes... sometimes I was lost, like, "What just happened?" But despite that, I was totally in love with them. I was so excited for the new episode.

I love how Wei Wei is slowly falling in love with Chi Cheng and their bridging. The storyline is great. And I am not surprised, as it's based on the novel of the autor Chai Ji Dan as the drama, Stay with Me, which is absolutely 100/10. To be honest, the Revenged love cannot compare to it in every aspect, maybe because they were on a tight budget and I think if the drama was produced in China, it would be much better quality, but I get that it could not have been because of the censorship.

The last episode felt very rushed, although I loved their moments together.

it is a dark drama but you will love it!

I bridged the drama over two days as I could not stop watching it. The cinematography and acting are amazing. To be honest, Jae Wook was born to play i daesang; it suits him perfectly. I love the storyline and how slowly we are getting to the truth. Not a single episode was boring. The chemistry between the leads is awesome! I love the bond Jae I and Hong Rang had. Their eyes speak for themselves. The fighting scenes were great as well. It was a real surprise to see the real villain, as he had my blood boiling every time he appeared. I will not say more to avoid spoilers.

The OST is great, so fitting to the drama. It is not a typical drama; it is dark, and with each episode, there is more suffering, but it is a beautiful story of two people who try to protect each other. The last episode was very emotional.

A Boring Slog Carried by One Actor

While Pro Bono started as an easy watch, it quickly lost its spark. With each passing episode, the story became more boring, and I found myself losing interest entirely. By episode 6, I decided to drop it—I didn’t want to force myself to finish it just for the sake of completion.

The "Carry" Factor I really liked the lead, Kang, but unfortunately, that was the only positive. He was truly carrying the entire drama on his back. The rest of the team was terrible and lacked any chemistry or charm. While the individual legal cases were somewhat interesting, they weren't strong enough to save the show from its flat characters and slow pace.

Comparison to a Superior Drama If you are looking for a better version of this genre, I highly recommend "Oh My Ghost Client." That drama had everything this one lacked: it was fast-paced, funny, and featured great teamwork and compelling cases.

Final Verdict: Unless you are a massive fan of the lead actor, this one isn't worth the time. It lacks the "drive" and team chemistry that makes a legal drama successful.

Overrated and Lacked Any Spark

I went into this drama with high expectations because I remembered all the hype while it was airing and saw its high ratings. But yet again, I am disappointed. This show is incredibly overrated and simply didn't captivate me at all.

I found myself pushing through the episodes, constantly hoping that I would finally feel invested in the story, but it never happened. It was just boring. There was no "drive" or hook to keep me interested, and I eventually dropped the drama at episode 5.

If I compare this to my previous watch, To My Beloved Thief, there is no contest. That drama was perfect in every way, yet its rating is lower than Love Scout. I truly don’t understand how a masterpiece can be rated lower than a show this dull. It just goes to show that high ratings don't always mean high quality.

Final Verdict: Don't let the hype fool you. If you're looking for a story that actually respects your time and keeps you "glued to the screen," look elsewhere. This was a tedious experience that I couldn't wait to stop watching.

Great idea, frustrating execution

The concept of Extracurricular is really interesting. But I'm seriously struggling to keep watching.

The female lead is so annoying that I can barely stand her. I could overlook that if the male lead made up for it—but he doesn't. He's supposed to be the top student at school, smart and calculating. Yet he acts like a complete loser and can't solve the simplest problems that come up.

This drama makes me angry, but not in the satisfying way. It's just frustrating to watch. I don't think I can continue. I'm dropping it.
