On I Cannot Hug You Season 2 Feb 2, 2020
Well it's definitely not realistic regarding the attempted curing of mysophobia of the male lead but it's a drama about energy vampires so I suppose it already has enough topics to cover. I definitely want to say this though: Yin Shi Huan deserved better. Without censorship we all know there would've been another great secondary couple. This is a very sweet drama with a lot of energy vampires so if you like that then watch it.

For those starting from s1: The female lead is extremely pushy at first which can be a bit uncomfortable but she does become a better person just like the male lead.

Episode 18, 14:20 for those wanting to have a laugh (hint: the painting). You do need to have some context on the series for the full effect but yea just a nice little insert vampire joke.

Oh no! will the rat die as per fortune teller prediction? Or will he defect and his son can join him and enjoy…
Well, now that we know that this is very likely we should appreciate his character even more. Hopefully he'll get to show off his acting a bit more in the episodes before he leaves.

This drama is unbelievable. Keeps one upping itself every episode, you though the main male lead was an outstanding guy? Watch him do EVEN more for the main female lead or watch him look EVEN more handsome every episode. If you're not watching this drama yet at this point you're missing out.
I do hope they weave the story together a bit more in the coming episodes cause right now it's a bit divided with focus being on different groups of people that do not interact. I'm sure that will happen since clearly two groups of people will meet up next episode.

As someone who has not yet watched this drama. What does female violence have to do with this drama? I suppose…
I think it may also depend on what culture you grew up in. Some cultures have (wo)men who grow up seeing that hitting others is normal but other cultures are much more reserved. So in those reserved cultures it's much more rare to have (wo)men publically hitting others unless they are drunk.

Let's also not forget that in certain conservative Islamic regions, women talking to male friends (besides her family and husband) is still seen as scandelous. So while many areas in our world will have snappy women, a lot of other areas will also have women who are treated as property by their family/husband. There definitely is unfairness towards both men and women in our world and I hope one day things will balance out a bit so we can just live and respect each others dignity and human rights.

I sometimes think that the reason some extraverted/outgoing women hit so much is subconciously a way of letting others know not to mess with them (since women often become victims of crimes). That's really the only reason I can think of since women are often more insecure than men about their position/social standing and this might show itself as aggresiveness. Of course that sort of behaviour doesn't belong in a relationship since you should trust your partner so that's definitely wrong.

Introverted women don't have to worry about the outside world as much since we don't go out unless necessary. There's no reason to appear selfconfident/strong all the time when you are just going to be home as much as possible. There's a very low chance I'll ever come across a criminal unlike outgoing/extraverted girls who spend much more time on the street/in the city.

I did indeed develop mysophobia thanks to trauma and it was not easy to deal with. I think I have hurt people by not being able to touch them normally (probably especially family members) as I always wash my hands right after handshakes or I try to avoid doing high-fives ect.. It is strange to others and definitely not something I'd choose to have since I'm introverted anyway and like to spend time alone (so being touchy was never going to happen anyway). I don't hate being introverted though. I love being in a fantasy world away from crushing reality.
Anyway, I probably wouldn't even like this drama that much. I avoid medical/lawyer dramas like the plague unless they have a fantasy element. I just find that the subject often reminds me too much of reality.

As someone who has not yet watched this drama. What does female violence have to do with this drama? I suppose…
Well I agree that a lot of Asian dramas have women who slap/hit men. Mayby I've become a bit blinded to that sort of behaviour of women because I watch series with unrealistic/fantasy stories anyway but yes it's certainly problematic. Personally I don't expect to hit anyone because I have a form of mysophobia and for me that means I dislike touching others. So very unlikely that I will show that aggresive behaviour in my lifetime. I also would like to say that I personally know more (introverted) women who would never physically attack their partner.
I'm sorry you've had bad experiences with violent women and I understand why these dramas must be extremely triggering for you. I do hope future dramas will be more sensitive towards the topic of violence in regards to relationships.

I honestly believe that women are the most violent and hurtful creatures on this earth, no matter whether it is…
As someone who has not yet watched this drama. What does female violence have to do with this drama? I suppose it's a good sign that this drama can get people so invested but it seems to have such a strong effect.. But yea time to stop violence indeed. Also time to stop making assumptions about others though, some women might be evil but I can tell you that the majority is fine.

This guy looks like a younger version of Seo Kang Joon. I actually thought they were the same actor before I looked him up.

People are complaining because this show has many problems and that is an objective fact. This could have been…
Agreed, there's a lot of wasted potential with this show. The flashbacks scenes have all been great though but they kinda carry the whole series. If you split UWMA in 2 halves, 1 for the flashbacks and 1 for modern times then I think almost everyone would rather watch the flashbacks.
Sure the emotions are there but those are mostly based on what happened to the flashback characters.
On Until We Meet Again Jan 27, 2020
I love the general storyline, the secondary ''couple'' and the flashbacks but there are some things I just can't look past anymore. Every episode it feels like someone (mostly Pharm) cries, Pharm makes food or feeds someone and a scene with Pharm looking uncomfortable at any sight of intimacy/recollection of his past.
The cooking-thing is a character thing and I get that but don't let those scenes take up so much time.
At this point I'm literally just waiting each episode on when these things are going to happen. I'm sure the actor playing Pharm is good and he does have a bright smile but some diversity in his acting after this many episodes would be great. Hopefully that does happen before the end.

This series will make you feel uncomfortable one way or another eventually but it's an unforgettable ride (for better or for worse). Besides that, it has an anime-styled humor so you'll see a lot of those fake reaction-faces but it's bearable.
There are a lot of funny plottwists at the end so you do kinda get a reward for sitting through a lot of uncomfortable scenes. This series is unlike any crossdress series I've seen and definitely not something for those who are easily disturbed (refering to that scene from episode 6 here and the many scenes of the boss-lady). It does have some genuine LGBT representation though but there's better series out there for that stuff. So only watch this if you like random humor and can handle uncomfortable scenes.

I think the story dragged a bit in the middle and I also think there could've been more creative ways of the spirit to help the detective in his work. Like the spirit can enter everywhere he wants and he can scout an area, he should use this more instead of sulking and trying to posses the detective. I adored any scenes with the two male leads working together, they make the show.
I do kinda have to suspend my believe that the detective guy wouldn't have been sent to a psychiatrist for the amount of public talking he does with the spirit. His co-workers very rarily notice anything/say anything while its happening right in front of them.
I also would've liked to see a better relationship progression between the two male leads, sure eventually it's great between them but it takes a lot of screwing up to get there.
Weird movie with lots of deaths, it's one of those movies you just kinda watch because you have some extra time and then never watch again. Movie left me confused and kinda sad at the end. The game the movie is based on seems pretty fun though. I think the plot of having students be forced to kill has been done before A LOT in Japan and so you can find much better versions out there if that's what you want. If you're here for the BL, it's there but only in a select few scenes and nothing big.

There are enough dramas made for people who love a Wuxia (Chinese fantasy) setting and hetero-couples. The reason this drama got so popular is BECAUSE it did something outside of the norm by showing love beyond just man and woman. I understand if you dislike watching the cute interactions between guys if you are not into guys yourself but that's no reason to hate on the whole genre.

I'm cackling here, imagining how you've learned about how South Koreans often struggle with amnesia because they…
That was kinda how it went though!! Of course the Coca Cola part wasn't believeable but I was a bit confused at the amnesia part. I had only seen a few kdramas at that point so I didn't know that there were SO MANY amnesia storylines in kdrama. So I was like: ''Is amnesia a problem in South Korea?'' for a second there.
On The Crowned Clown Jan 25, 2020
First episodes really get you hooked and they'll provide cliffhangers at the end of every episode with either deaths/reveals/threats. There is 1 event early in this drama which is pretty serious and this is handled a bit crudely because of the romantic plot and the clown pretending to be the king.

I loved seeing the difference between the king and the clown though and seeing people growing to like the clown as their king. Yeo Jin Goo is seriously talented as both characters and you almost feel the difference in their souls (cold and warm). I wouldn't have minded seeing a bit more jokes regarding his fake identity but I understand that the drama wanted a serious tone.

Pretty damn underwhelming!!!!!!!
If you don't identify with the metaphors that it's giving about the class divide between poor and rich then it probably is a bit underwhelming. I'd suggest watching a video that explains the details of the movie so you can appreciate the amount of thought that went into it. Still though, despite if it's your type of movie or not, the social commentary is very strong.
On The Best Twins Jan 24, 2020
You will likely be very confused when you watch this drama. It follows the story of multiple people and 3 couples so nobody really gets enough screentime for relationship development besides Pond and Tee the main couple. If you want to watch this because of the twin-trope then don't bother, the fact that they are twins is not important in the story at all. Most memorable characters were Max,Thor,Pond,Tee,Pad and Tiger.
I only completed this story because of the Thor-jokes to be honest.

Yes he remembers her from that bridge in Switzerland (she does not remember). Up to this point only 2 meetings have been confirmed of them in Switzerland. 1 on the bridge and 1 at the lake (where they didn't see each other but she remembered the music he made).

As someone who recently started watching Korean dramas again this series is perfect. The South-Korean references are usually met with confusion by North-Korean characters and get explained to them by other characters. I've learned a lot more about South Korean culture thanks to that and the moments of confusion are pretty funny.

Now onto why I love this series. The sets are beautiful, the acting is great, the side-characters are memorable, the North-Korean cultural jokes are funny, the romance is incredibly cute, the female lead is NOT annoying, the action scenes are amazing (your heart will skip a beat at 1 point), the characters experience personal growth and you just grow to like almost every important character on this show.

Now one thing you need to keep in mind is to forget about the logistics of crossing the North Korean border. Just pay little attention to that and enjoy the show. I even ended up watching another 20 year old k-drama (Stairway to heaven) which they referenced in the show itself, that's how much I like the show.
