Todays lesson: Don't underestimate heaters

It was alright, audio could suddenly jump to become very loud so be aware of that. Pretty basic story, nowadays this sort of idea isn't very uncommon in things like anime. Back then it was probably a cool idea tho.

Slowpaced movie but I liked the ''futuristic'' elements they add with those computers connected to typewriters. It's interesting to see how they saw the future (of the year 1999) in 1988. The isolated setting was also pretty unique.

However your romcom stats are pretty low so it may not be for you. That's alright though, not every drama is for everyone.

Oh this is funny XD also good to see the WBL guys again. The episodes are short but with all the animal stuff it is pretty memorable. Cute cats and dogs.

I've watched certain lakorn and makjang kdramas so mayby that's why I didn't identify it as such. Temptation of Wife ost and Kleun Cheewit ost for example is much more dramatic. Those singers sound like they're living the desperation/pain meanwhile the Boku no Satsui singer seems like he's having fun with the song, in the MV they even dance. But I mean it's all details in the end everyone can have their own interpretation.

Nice to see more exposure for this show. Definitely changed my expectations on short duration dramas since this one was so fun. It can definitely be done well with the right cast and director and they did a fantastic job. Its definitely not the first cdrama that shows a matriarchy society and also won't be the last but it was enjoyable for its unique and more recognisable modern way of doing it.

Japanese BL are generally pretty low budget projects, especially these types of smaller ones so keep expectations for quality low and you'll go far. Disagreed with saying all jdramas are feeling old and ''outdated'' though. They may use different types of techniques than the currently popular kdramas but that doesn't have to be wrong and can give it a unique feeling. Preference for other types of dramas is fine to admit, not everyone can like jdramas.

Yeah I saw the trailer as something for a romcom show too. But yeah misunderstandings can form but it seems to have happened to a bunch of people. It does feel a bit anime-like indeed ^^ the fun props remind me of stuff like Detective Conan too.

It's on Youtube with English subs by 阿柯影视 AkeTV. It's vertically filmed though and not high budget, just so you know what you're gonna get.

I'm starting to think this drama may have accidentally attracted an audience which was looking for a very different type of experience. Melodrama fans and those seeking serious and tragic storylines.

The drama is a lighthearted romcom and not a tragic revenge lovestory. It has the comedy genre on this page. I'm someone who often watches romcom dramas so I was surprised to see criticism just based on it being a romcom here. Yeah the genre is not for everyone I get that.

I get that wrong impressions about a drama can happen but there is a ''Melodrama'' genre listing on MDL which is clearly not on this page. I highly advice to check tags and genres on MDL which are there to prevent misunderstandings like you had about this drama.

Am at third episode now. Drama goes from feeling like a healing drama to really sad scenes. It's definitely a show that makes it easy to cry.

Well, watched episode 2 and its still dark. I'm disliking the male lead more and more.

Its difficult for me to tell you since Idk how much romance is too much romance for you. Yeah one of the male leads has a thing for the female character in the other world but they don't only focus on that.
The ending doesn't show a woman + man being together but it does imply they go back to the other world where the female lead is.

I'm not surprised this isn't very wellknown, pretty dark storyline. It is indeed inspired by/an adaptation of that one manga called お金がないっ by 香坂 透 from what I could find. The plotline is very similar.

Gotta have that white lily symbolism in there.
Anyway it's an alright movie, bit overdramatic at times with the whole magic fighting. I found it by looking for the Chinese title but it was unsubbed.
