Half way through this drama and I still prefer the second female lead even though I can see which direction this…
Finished the series though I had to skip a bit towards the end as this drags majorly. On the face of it the story seemed exactly like something I'd enjoy but I thought it was executed pretty poorly.
I love tragic/melodrama type stories and it what attracted me to kdramas and I've seen plenty of good ones but this wasn't one of them. This show is genuinely sad for the sake of sad. A good melodrama/tragedy would keep you wanting to come back every episode as the sad events move the story forward and develop the characters but in the second half especially this was all at a standstill.
A well done melodrama would keep the character development and story engaging and that's where this show falls apart - it's just not interesting for large parts. The closest comparison I can think of is those Walking Dead episodes where they focus on 1/2 characters at an attempt to do a character driven episode but they were always the worst episodes in the series as it was just drab - no interesting events were driving the development. hat's what the entire second half of this show felt like and why I found myself just skipping lots

With regards to the second lead - he doesn't owe her anything and she can come across a bit entitled to him but he hasn't half led her on only to go through with his plan and hurt her like he has/
Half way through this drama and I still prefer the second female lead even though I can see which direction this story is heading - not that it's as relevant but she's also hotter and it's always funny when shows have the main female lead as universally the best looking girl around in the dramas universe that everyone in love with but there's a 2nd or 3rd lead around that's better looking.
The show is pretty slow still. Hoping it picks up soon.

Personally would not recommend this show. 5/10.
People seem incapable of being impartial because there's no way this is an 8.8.
This show just never got going
