Don't get me wrong, this is very good . . . but it went from romcom to straight tearjerker drama real quick.
I wouldn't say this is a tearjerker, just a bit sad line. Some tears, but not a lot. To me, a tearjerker is something like "More than Blue: The series". It is very good, and you will cry buckets lol.
Just curious, how will some of you feel if we still get no confession from the FL by the end of the upcoming episode?…
The longer it takes them to be together the better. I know this is very unpopular opinion, but I wish they don't get together until the last half an hour or so. Maybe one kiss when they get together, and if they do a wedding another one there. I would be disappointed if it happens next week. I mean once they get together, what is left to watch?
She didn't break up with him because she didn't want to burden him. She broke up with him because it was all too…
Not neccessarily. In addition to what "Ivy" said above, the FL realised that ML is really looking for someone no longer there. Staying with him while she can't guarantee to be that happy person will lead to either her to have to act happy while she is not, and that is mentally exhausting. Or him having to put up with her, which makes him unhappy and maybe even resent her, which ultimately lead to them both being unhappy. You could argue that she could have tried and gave it a go. That is true, but maybe she just didn't feel like it. I think it is just life got in their way. None of them at fault. And for that, I think it was actually good writing.
* E09 is the best so far. We got the back story of FL, and here I want to say that I blame neither FL, nor the ex. It is very easy to judge people like him, but being a carer for long time takes its toll on the carer as well, and he probably said that in a moment of weakness. It just sucks to have cancer. Sometimes (I would even say many times) relationships brake down without one particular party being in the wrong. I am happy the writer went for a more nuanced way than just making him a cheater. * The series progression has been satisfactory. E7, 8, and 9 are the best ones. *I think the FL parents reaction to her career choice is very understandable. I would say the overwhelming majority of parents would react that way. I dare to say even in the West where children have more freedoms. Parents have the responsibility and duty to advise their children. Not everything children choose is correct and should be accepted and supported with no questions. I know she is adult, but she is still their child. I don't have strong opinion who is right or wrong, but I completely understand them. *Secodn couple is cute. 2FL listing all males who visited her room was fun. *ML father catching ML mother was hillariously bad. I chuckled. *Last minute of the episode made me shed few tears. I consider this a compliment. *Finally, I really hope they don't get together until E15, or E16. Give the FL time. If it happens earlier, I don't know what they will fill the time with? I don't want to see too much grabing and chasing.
the fl ilness arc is such a plot hole , like do people not facetime there parents or like the guadrian signature…
I don't even know how to facetime lol. People , especiallythose from Asia, do actually hide things from loved ones. I find FL not telling anyone a bit unlikely, but it is not something wild or shocking. It is perfectly plausible. Also, I don't think you need a guardian in USA.
Ksh means not success romance equal success, my favourite KSH drama one ordinary day literally his best acting…
Personally I didn't like Moving. Dropped it after few episodes. I am sick and tired of superheros. Haven't watched Wost evil. But, I liked A shop for killers a lot. That was very good. I also liked a LOT "The Kidnapping Day". I LOVED that dynmaic betweetn the hapless kidnapper and the excellent little girl. Tell me that you love me was another very good drama.

I think it is important to define what is success? Is it viewing numbers? is it in Korea? is it internationally? is it on social media?
I doubt very much Disney+ (at least in the near future) will challenge Netflix when it comes to Kdrama. I think Disney+ attracts different core audience. Its audience is mainly interested in Star Wars, Marvel, or classic animated movies. Kdrama is not the main draw. Netflix on the other hand is increasingly reliant on non-English content. It is very common nowdays that their top 10 has more new non-English language series than English. And, the most successful of those non-English titles are Kdramas. So, for Netflix, Kdrama is a very important source of income, while for Disney+ is not. Therefore, I doubt that they willheavily promote them. That will be reserved for Star Wars, and MCU. P.S: I only have Disney+ because I had a heavily discounted offer.
I'm one of those watchers who doesn't care about ratings, the 8.6 rating doesn't bother me, as for me it is still…
Relying on aggregate rating is really flawed in my opinion even if everyone who rated was genuine. The key flaw is that the same number means different thing to different people. In my opinion, it is a much better way to follow individual people. Few people who have a roughly similar taste like you are worth more than tens of thousands of random people.
Seriously? I feel that they continuously release thrillers / action, and that's it. No romcom, no comedy, or anything…
Tell me That You Love me is very good! A bit different drama where the ML is deaf. I have seen few movies where one or both leads are deaf, but not a whole series. The romance (for once between a bit older characters) is really beautiful, and I even picked up some Korean sign language words lol.
Maybe I am in minority, but to me she was WAY more beautiful in those casual clothes and simple make up than when…
Fair. Yeah! I don't know whether you have read my review of the whole show, but I was massively disappointed in it. Just about got 5/10. It is currently my second lowest rated show.
A decent show. with quirky characters. First 2/3 are almsot good. Unfortunately, last 4 episodes were "meh". They were almost another show. It is a decent palate cleanser. You will get few laughs (arguably though the best 2 episodes imo 7&8 are not comedy), but don't expect too much. 6/10
I think the reason I'm disappointed is because i really had high expectations from this drama just like i had…
Unfortunately this is something inevitable. This is something that most people who watch a lot experience regardless of the country or genre. At the end of the day there are only so many stories and set ups. It is almost impossible to come up with something new. Even Sci-fi and Fantasy are struggling to come up with a genuinely unique ideas, let alone real life. I don't think there is a single drama that doesn't have sme similarties with another one. All we can hope from dramas is a good execution of their premise. I usually mix genres and countries to keep myself engaged. Watching same genre from same country, at least in my case, leads to fatigue and slump.
just like you said some are doing it for the sake of hating, after ep 8 they just switched up and started attacking…
I think you misunderstood me.
I think they do have chemistry, and very good one at that. But, chemistry is not an exact science. It is not a math equation. It is not something with clear and definite answer. That is why if someone doesn't see chemistry I don't find it hard to understand. I disagree with them, but I can very easily understand them.
Just like not all people like the same food, or agree that someone is beautiful.
What scale is this? I dropped LR & ranks MLN pretty high.
This is very far from MLN, Park Hae Young as a screenwriter is exceptional. But as someone who enjoyed MLN and consider "My Mister" the best drama in any language, this not so bad. It is reasonably enjoyable. However, they are very different genres, If you want something with introspections and thought provoking and not very famous try "Lost"
I've watched one and a half episodes and I'm almost ready to drop it. Do they stop shouting and hitting each other…
It will gradually calm down and become only very sporadic. However, if you don't like the shouting and hitting regardless of character, then maybe you should watch something else. In my opinion the series gets better, but if you are disliking it to the extent of dropping it, then I doubt you will suddenly start liking it.
in my opinion, u would definitely enjoy queen of tears if u like this haha!
I beg to differ. I dropped QoT after 6 episode, but I am enjoying this. I honestly don't see any resemblence whatsoever between this and QoT. I can't see how can we say that two dramas are similar just because Fl has illnesses. There are SOOO many dramas where the FL has serious, or even terminal illness.
Edit: I am not saying that you won't like QoT. There is a possibility that you might. But, the point is LND should not be taken as a measure.
To me, a tearjerker is something like "More than Blue: The series". It is very good, and you will cry buckets lol.
True. My bad. Thanks for correction.

Chemistry is very hard to define, and it is in the eyes of the beholder.
For the record, I do think they have very good chemistry, but I can completely understnad if some people don't think so,
