A screen kiss or screen romance is fake, make believe to entertain the viewers for a few hours. It doesn't mean a thing and a true professional will not bring his private life to work or better still will only accept non-romance projects.

I can't agree more. It's not even really the lack of kiss scenes, it's his body language towards his fls, just feels off and standofish, like he's trying to repel them. Bai lu did the heavy lifting in Only for love. He's a good actor, but I'll avoid anything he's in, if it has a romance tag. BTW, a true professional doesn't bring his personal life to work. A screen kiss or screen romance has no bearing on hos marital life or just stop doing romance dramas.

It's giving low budget (don't mean this in a negative way. Romance of tiger and rose is low budget nd I loved it) and subpar writing vibes (just finished Guardians of the Dafeng, maybe that's my expectations are sky high), but the story line is intriguing enough for me to continue. The editing sucks. The fight scenes suck and that's a pity for me because usually, I love period drama fight scenes. I love the ml and hope one day he'll get a script worthy of his acting chops. My enjoyment level is average. Actors doing their best considering what they've got to work with.

Honestly, he's a fantastic actor, but they keep giving him rubbish scripts.

The makeup for Bai Lu was ageing, yes, and too much as usual, but she doesn't look like in she's in her 40's at all. She's naturally very beautiful and I wish her management would hire a better makeup artist. She doesn't even need much.

And the ml's foster Dad, sister, brother, and trainer with the poison. oh, and the guy who doesn't age, the saintess of nanping, the concubine who walloped her son for opening a brothel; in short, I want them all back

I really hope not! Had to drop KMLM; it was such a huge let down, not that the source material was that great though.

Just skip my dear. Her character contributes nothing to the plot, so you wont miss out on a great show. She also annoyed me enough to put it on hold for almost a year. I'm glad I decided to ignore her character.

I just skip her scenes. She contributes nothing to the plot anyway, except peripherally, as a friend the dead princess. She's like those villain concubines writers use to annoy viewers and eventually kill off, in palace intrigue dramas; albeit a stupid one. Why they paired her character with the ml will never not amaze me, especially when there's a quality fl-the real grand princess. I'm on episode 30 and I'm so sad it's ending😢😢

I see your point and agree with you. I only mentioned cdramas because I've found a few that leave the ml his dignity. It's a pity though, that such dramas are hard to find.

Another wonderful rewatch. This is the one that got me hooked on C-costume dramas. Yehua, there are no words to describe my love and respect for him. TMOPB will always hold a special place in my heart.

Thought it was just a me thing-I mean, tired of watching simp mls😁 I'm not sure why korean writers think such mls are attractive. Not sure how a man with no dignity or sense of self worth or self respect is sexy, but hey, different strokes for different folks. I believe they feel to write a strong fl, the ml has to be emasculated or perpetually humiliated in contrast to show she's strong. I mean they wrote a woman foisting another dude's kid on a guy who was grateful for the deception when the truth came out. Now, I have nothing against step parenting, but such deceit is something I'll never be able to stomach. Cdramas especially period/costume dramas are really awesome if you're looking for a strong fl and ml who still has his testicles in place. I just visit kdramas fleetingly these days.

I had to drop this and have decided to avoid her dramas. She can hardly move her face and it's not like she was a great actress to begin with.

I'm enjoying the heck outta myself. l put off this drama because of the low score here, plus the fl looked more like a supporting, rather than a lead actress to me. Boy, was I wrong on both counts! It's funny and engaging, plus the fl is a fantastic actress and now one of my faves. On episode 10 and having a ball so far. I'll never rely on scores here again.

I'm on episode 16 and enjoying the heck outta myself. I'm so happy to see the 2nd prince from JoL. I love this show. I love the fl and ml. I haven't liked a fl like this since Bai lu, shen li, yang mi and zhao lusi. She's a hoot. Ml's adorable and so is his squad.❤❤❤

They won't do that because of the fan base who prefer reverse harem to an actual harem. So lost you forever will fly, because it's like 10 guys after 1 girl, but the ml must only have eyes for the fl of they'll label him toxic😁

😁but there was a subtle difference in part 2 because of the the huge gap in-between. I hope they don't delay part 3 similarly. Honestly, this is top notch quality.
