On episode 3. Maybe I'm angry because I started this with such high expectations after seeing trailers for this drama. I should've known better. Since kdrama world went woke, it's been one disappointment after another. Let's start with the fl. A total airhead who's quite unrelatable. You want to know who killed your dad, so you agreed to an arranged marriage. Fair enough. Why start an affair? Ok even if you did, why not make a clean break with the guy you're living with? Why betray him in the most disrespectful and wicked way that you can? And we're supposed to believe she loves him? Not surprised though. Kdrama writers write emasculation and emotional abuse as romance- a la queen of tears. Also, what a total airhead. She doesn't appear to have any plans; not even a simple one, beyond banging two guys, that is, to find her dad's killer. She could do with some lessons from fls from the Double, Story of Kunning Palace and Rise of Ning (cdrama fls who're extremely brainy). The ml: Is your typical kdrama ml, with no self esteem or sense of self worth. For him to still be panting after the fl, well he's got some issues. His determination to survive and his quick wit in other aspects of his life are admirable and his face card is giving, but that's about it. He's still just another dunce, though, and I've got zero respect for him. Now just imagine if they had written a clever and resourceful fl with basic human decency and a badass, take no prisoners ml? Will just ogle the ml's face for a few more episodes and it's back to my wuxia and xianxia.
Everyone except our ml and chairman are confused 1. Eunnam : just for shares threw dongju love and married prosecutor…
Don't worry kdrama mls have no sense of self worth or self esteem. Anything goes. Throw him over in the most painful and disrespectful way possible? No problem, he'll still come running like a loyal dog, because apparently he doesn't realise there are billions of other women and he can just move on. Emotional abuse and emasculation is so romantic, you see.
Ep1 comments “You’re an unbelievable bitch,” ABSOLUTELY cus girl why you strung him along all this time…
I'm sure he will. Kdrama writers like writing cuckolds and simps and incels as mls. Look on the bright side, at least she didn't foist another guy's kid on him as his, which he was then grateful for, because he's in love☹
Rewatching this and completely forgot how utterly unintelligent Jiang Juan Juan was when it came to her relationship.…
Ikr? I'm so pained, because I initially liked her character very much, but there was no character growth for her, from the time she jumped to wrong conclusions based on nothing whatsoever, and dumped water on her dad, to the end of the show. The boy should've found someone else.
For me, I also understood why they went this route. No one likes the separation trope in relationships even if…
Another simp ml. Thanks for helping me not waste my time. I'm all for true love, but true love doesn't mean emotional torture at the hands of your love interest. This sounds like fl was just punishing ml for stuff he's not responsible for. I'll look for something else.,
That's not called really cheating if you know what is the real cheating is . He is not the one who seduced her,…
Ikr? Notice they're not mentioning the wife cheating. It's ok for her to cheat, but it's atrocious for him? They both cheated, they've no business staying married.
Why is the FL in so many of the newest productions a prostitute (=making love for money). Do they think that’s…
Ikr? It's become the trend in asian dramas these days. Strong woman means she's rude, can't cook even for herself, is a slob, an alcoholic, is pregnant for another guy but foists the child on the unsuspecting idiot male lead a la Queen of tears, and that's fine, he's happy as a cuckold, and has multiple affairs. In truth, I think they hate women to portray them so. There's nothing empowering about being a waste of space. I'm sure in this too, the ml will be a happy cuckold.
Episode 5 and MY GOD undoing JJH's tie never looked so tempting! This man needs to do another true romance show…
Why apologise? It's your space, your comment, what business is it of that killjoy? I'm enjoying your comments, feel free to express yourself anyway you want. Cheers!
I love most of this drama, until they got confused and started shoving the 2ml down my throat. I dislike him and his sister so much, that it took me a while to be able watch the artists in other dramas-no doubt a testament to the artists good acting. Ml is such a doll. I love his take no prisoners, revenge is a dish best served cold, attitude. He gets back at everyone who slights him. It must be exhausting, but I love that about him. He's quiet, introverted, hence he's a sociopath, according to Korean logic? LOL. I don't think even the writer understood the ml. The 2ml, his so-called friend is just the type of douchebag I hate. How can a friend say such horrid things about his friend-the episode of the piano recital where he told the other piano playing dude that ml is a psycho in a nutshell and not everyone can be friends with him. Then he and his equally freeloading sister, basically took over the ml's dad and became informants. Not only that, even when he knew fl and ml are dating, he was still covetous of his pal's girl. Where's the honor in that? Yet ml is the bad one? I don't understand how they always manage to flip the table whenever the ml exacts retribution, to make it seem as though he's the one with the problem. The fat sunbae can steal papers, not do his assignments and he's normal. The stalker can terrorise the fl, threaten her and more and he's normal. The other rapist sunbae can ply the fl with alcohol and take her off to rape her, but he's ok. Ml's friend and his sister can tattle on the ml to his dad, say nasty things about him to others, blame him for their refusal to get their lives together and they're in the right? But if the ml dares to call time on them, he's insane? I'm glad he dumped the fl. She 's also an idiot who thinks the ml's wrong for his actions. Hopefully he meets someone better in the future. And what exactly was the production team thinking, reducing the screen-time of the ml and boring me with the crappy 2ml? I don't give a tiny rat's ass about him, I just ff those scenes. And for those complaining about ml's age and all the other ageist commenters out there-May you all never grow old. The ost is amazing and I enjoyed Witch Kang's classes.
china has many different dialects, so to ensure that everyone can understand what's being said, they standardize…
Agreed. Dubbing is a whole industry now and I wouldn't want people to lose their livelihoods, but I seriously wish they stop replacing actors voices. It just makes cdramas so fake. My favs are the non-dubbed ones like dating in the kitchen and a couple of others like that.
I am on Episode 13 and I'm so mad at the FL, such a bad personality. I'm just not seeing what the commentaries…
I'm on episode 7 and I find her to be a hot mess and an alcoholic, as she's always drunk. Not very likeable or relatable, really, but the ml is adorable, so I'm watching for him. Plus nothing else interests me at present. Here's hoping for some character development for the fl.
I thought it was really good too, guess we're in the minority on here
I think it's really great too. Let's not be bothered by narrow minded people. It's ok not to like a drama, but to crap all over it, as they've been doing here, just proves that the empty vessels are the noisiest.
