How taesung remembers the cigarette scene? It happened when im sol traveled time for the first time. If she erased…
he implies that sol has always been a busy body and meddlesome. so even in this new timeline the sol of high-school who had a crush on him repeated that cigarette incident again
ep13 my fav episode actually. loved the cutsy bits, the thriller portion of it and even the ending. the parallels and the directing and the acting and the music, all of it.
things made sense to me. and the things I can't explain I'm sure it's intentional. we have 3 more episodes still left, like 2 movies worth of screentime.
also the inevitability of this new 2023 encounter and the absolute need for Sol to have to erase SJ and her very first encounter cuz that's THE only thing in the entire spacetime that prevents SJ from coming to her rescue, willing to die for her like that's so painfully romantic. also watching 34and35 year old sjandsol gravitate again towards each other despite one half of them completely missing like the soul mates that they are!! chef's kiss.
Some of you are too obsessed with why other people like Boon Ok fr. Chill. Liking Boon Ok isn't an indication of underlying dormant psychopathy. And us few scant individuals will not be committing crimes like her. Some people just like villains better.
It would probably need to be both of them in a different country that isn't Korea.
I think YR will be fine without her dad. Especially because her stepmom would definitely be causing more trouble. Maybe a final emotional scene with her father giving her some closure before she moves on with her life? He is one of the parties responsible for the tragic situation. I don't like the idea of HIM having a happy ending with his daughter is what I mean.
Honestly BO'e character could go either way. They could redeem her with a big sacrifice or turn her into a complete villain because of her bitterness. I think the way her character is writter I'd be fine with either.
For me I would want the dorm situation to get wrapped up in a couple of episodes. Then 1-1.5 episodes focussing…
I do think that a bittersweet ending is more likely though. There was this theory that SH and BO would be the ones dying from the main cast because of the still cuts released by JTBC. With both of them walking in the church light against the cross in their own stills. Foreshadowing perhaps?
they all fake their deaths and live in Germany together - not just youngro and sooho but the whole gang 😭hmmm…
Fully support faking their deaths (though how they could make that look convincing is beyond me). But I wouldn't want any future association with the political scene. Neither YR nor SH are the power hungry type. Nor do they seem like YR's roommate the protester to want to get involved in this kind of stuff again. They seem like the type to be content with a simple life. Especially for SH I think he just wants some peace.
It would probably need to be both of them in a different country that isn't Korea.
Yes! That could work. Also the only person YR would really be leaving behind is her grandma (sad but okay imo). And a completely new environment would also help heal any trauma that she might've developed associated with the dorm. A new place, a new beginning, a new life.
What does a happily ever after for Young Ro and Soo Ho look like to you people? Like imagine that you have the…
For me I would want the dorm situation to get wrapped up in a couple of episodes. Then 1-1.5 episodes focussing on the threats outside, maybe a little bit more of their past suffering addressed before a complete episode showing Progress. Like i want them to end up safe and together. But no implied ending. Like we should get to see them together at the end. Nothing like cheese in the trap where you get a long pointless separation and the HEA is just left to the viewers' imagination. I'm not expecting babies and marriages but like... A home where they're together maybe dancing to one way ticket? I'm just not sure how we're going to get to something like that. The sheer number of unresolved plot points that need to be addressed first would eat up too much screen time though I think.
What does a happily ever after for Young Ro and Soo Ho look like to you people? Like imagine that you have the power to give them the best possible ending, what would that be? To me I can't imagine how things are going to play out even if they get both get out alive. They have more enemies outside the dorm than they do inside.
If anyone still likes boon ok after watching up until episode 11..why?? Nothing she does is good. If not for the…
That is one show that does angst right. It wastes absolutely no time in trying to convince you that the ML is a good person or even redeemable. The hero is completely unapologetically a grey character and Seo In Guk's acting and the CHEMISTRY with Jung So Min... It's my go to melodrama. The ending though tragic is very well earned imo. It fits the show.

Agreed 100%. It takes a little something away from the story which would've given it that punch imo. Made it the kind of love story that's hard to forget. Like Scarlet Heart or The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. But this show is a different genre altogether.

YR literally housed a spy because of her crush and is kissing him when he's taken her and her friends hostage... Miss Pi would get you thrown out of the dorm even if you are poor if you're late for more than 3 times, being homeless is scary, Hanna literally walks with a loaded gun and shoots it at the wall when she's angry, Joo is a spy with rage issues and a gun...
Anyways that's a moot point. I don't judge characters by how I'd find them in real life lol.

Yeah I'm not exactly comparing BO and SH's characters rather the treatment they get from the show.
See that's EXACTLY my point! SH STILL took them hostages. If not for that initial act no one would be in danger. Those 30+ people are in danger in the first place because of him. BUT because the show is treating SH with a much softer approach, his actions seem more easily forgiveable. None of the bad things he does are ever brought up again a second time. I wanted his actions to be acknowledged and addressed, especially by Young Ro in an angsty tear filled heart to heart.
I'm not justifying BO's actions. I like her the way she is. A girl with an inferiority complex from a poor household whose been humiliated day in and day out by rich students and become a kleptomaniac with trust and control issues & whose resourcefullness has turned into manipulative maliciousness to the point where her own actions are her biggest downfall. She's absolutely delightful to me a character. She's complex and intriguing. And KHY brings an energy to this character that's impressive. You can love her or hate her but it's next to impossible to ignore Boon Ok. I'm fine with her not getting a redemption. Wouldn't mind a complete mental breakdown turning her into the final big bad. But that's just me.

You could say that about literally every character though. I wouldn't want to meet even Young Ro. I'd be the frustrated best friend trying to get her to break up with her 'bad boy' boyfriend... Or Hyeryoung whose a classist and a bully, or Miss Pi whose so strict she's got girls climbing on pipes to not get evicted. Hanna's a lit firecracker, Joo is brainwashed and violent, etc etc... I don't think about meeting fictional characters in real life is all I'm saying.
