no because his powers were supposed to be gone and never come back like thats the whole point of the plan. him being depressed shouldve made him lose his powers. as for the selfish thing she wanted to do, yeah anyone would prefer to see their loved ones depressed but alive than dead which i know is selfish but a well written character wouldnt prefer the other option.
