He's been on point in every scene! I'm so impressed! I loved him in Meteor Garden but the improvement is so noticeable. His face fits xianxia perfectly!

On iQiyi. I listened to the end credits song in the anime and it sounds so familiar! I feel like I heard it in another drama. If anyone knows what drama let me know cuz it’s bugging me. Unless it’s from LBFAD?

Hu Yitian has REALLY been frustrating me lately! He’s actually the one that got me into CDramas! My first CDrama was Handsome Siblings and I went bonkers in love with him! Then moved on to A Love So Beautiful and Go Go Squid. I love him in all those! My Roommate Is A Detective was ok for me. I really liked his character and acting but just wasn’t too into the story. The so called romance in that was horrible. You Complete Me is one I still can’t seem to finish. I think I’ve tried watching it 3 times now but I end up putting it on hold or lose interest bc of all the business talk. Unrequited Love was another one I started but couldn’t finish bc the FL was so cringy. I may give these 2 another go at some point but idk. Go Go Squid 2 was sweet and he had good chemistry with the FL. The only aspect of that drama that bugged me was that they switched from gaming to robots. Even though I thought robots are cooler the switch messed up some of the storylines from the first drama. Youth Should Be Early was one I actually enjoyed and thought he did a great job acting in. The only complaint in that drama would be the FL who was kinda annoying but not horrible. The story and supporting characters were great though. I like Hello The Sharpshooter too. I did feel the chemistry was kinda lacking between the two leads and I expected this drama to be better but it’s still a cute watch. I’ll tell you why he’s frustrating me, some of the roles he’s choosing are horrible. I’m trying to start Defying the Storm and Checkmate but it’s a little difficult. Unfortunately because his acting can be cold and bland sometimes he needs colorful, fun opposite leads to counteract and play off him to make the drama good. I don’t think republican era dramas are a good fit for him. He use to be one of my top fave CDrama actors but I find myself dropping his dramas a lot these days 😔

That’s a lot of people’s complaints at first but don’t stop bc she grows on you. You eventually really love her character!

Has anyone watched the anime? I watched a few minutes of the first ep and Arbiter Hall in the drama and anime looks identical!

Yeah I get the complaints of the sound of her voice but if you watch Chinese dramas you should be use to that kind of tone by now. I’ve learned that FLs that have the baby sound voice in the beginning will eventually change. You notice their voice tends to change throughout the drama due to character development. OR the sound is just so different to the ears that it hits you but you just get use to it.

I think this is the first drama where I’ve seen in the comments there’s been no complaints about anything just praise and positivity on how good it is! 💖

Lol funny I watch the eps on iQiyi then rewatch them on Viki with the Timed Comments on. Today I actually thought to myself how cool it would be to watch this with people from MDL who actually seem to know what’s going on. Some of the people that commented on the earlier eps in Viki were really frustrating me. They kept calling XLH stupid! I must’ve commented multiple times to explain why she’s acting the way she is, it’s not stupidity, it’s common sense!

On iQiyi but there’s no English subs. I can understand a little Chinese so I understood some of what they were saying. Even without subs you can see it’s a heartbreaker.

Omg I just watched the teaser for episode 32! It was only 2 minutes long and yet I still broke down in tears 😭 I’m really gonna need to prepare myself 🥺

I know I usually don’t bother with rating individual eps but I have to with this one bc it deserves at least a 9! It’s the first time I’ve done it ever for a drama. This is a must watch and people should know how good it is! 💜
