Hu Yitian makes so many dramas but they take forever to come out. The trailer for this has been out for so long. I think he has at least 2 more dramas that’s suppose to come out this year.
I'm at ep5 and I feel that this is quite okay. Does it get substantially worse later? Are the negative reviews…
It’s draggy but gets better. The story gets interesting and picks up. I think this is pretty common with CDramas though. Draggy in the beginning to build up couples chemistry and insert details for the bigger more interesting story line later.
I LOVE the song “The Daughter of the Sea” by Yuri Wang. I listen to it nonstop and now trying to memorize it. It’s so beautiful and was perfect for the emotional scenes. The lyrics fit the drama perfectly.
I just finished this and do have some thoughts. Love the ML and FL bc I’m a fan of Hu Yitian. The supporting cast was fun to watch too. Episodes 1-20 were kinda draggy and could’ve been cut down. Episodes 21-35 is when the story picks up and gets interesting BUT then unfortunately the end was kinda anticlimactic for me. I feel like the Xu Dian/sexual assault storyline was good but it got resolved so quickly. It was like he disappeared and then nothing happened. I wanted him to have a showdown against Shen Qing Yuan and defend Tian Xin’s honor or something. The eps where he thinks he abandoned her were great and emotional. Like I said, the last few episodes were anticlimactic for me but the very last episode I enjoyed. His marriage proposal was beautiful. The ML and FL have a lot of very cute moments and good chemistry. Overall it was an OK drama but could’ve been better. It kept my attention so it’s a win for me!
I’m still currently watching. I have to say that I waited for this drama for sooo long and decided to wait until most of the eps dropped before starting. I did read some nonspoiler comments and was disappointed at alot of negative ones so I was starting to get hesitant. I’m glad I kept up with it though bc it’s getting good. I’ll agree that they could’ve cut it down. The first 20 eps were draggy and kinda boring but I’m sure it’s bc they needed to give alot of back story and show her behavior that is a huge factor in the later storyline. After ep 20 things start to get interesting! I’m totally into it now! If ppl are dropping it before reaching ep 20-25 then I say don’t and keep going! I haven’t quite reached ep 28 yet so I’ll give more thoughts later!
The girl retracted her statements and said he never said those things. The recording was fake. Anyway all that is way long ago. When you’re young and date someone ppl will always say “you’re my only one “ or “I only want to be with you” it’s all sweet talk. Some ppl date but one side has different expectations than the other but not aware. And if he did have sex with the girl, so what? He’s human. You can’t expect a guy to go the rest of his life only working and being a virgin until he decides to marry.
I really wanted to wait til it’s 3/4 done before I started bc I binge my shows. I’m not patient and hate waiting a week to see what happens but everyone is making it sound too tempting! I don’t know if I can wait! Will Power!!! …I’ll probably end up watching it this weekend or next week lol 😆
The FL and Lu Yao have great comedic chemistry but NO romantic chemistry at all. I don’t know why they had to make them a couple in the end, it felt so random! They should’ve just ended it as all 3 of them friends.
I’m liking the look of the FL in this one. In MRIAD the FL and Hu Yitian’s character, Lu Yao, had NO Romantic chemistry at all. They had great comedic chemistry though but I actually would’ve preferred if they just kept them as friends in the end. Looking forward to this!
Hu Yi Tan (or his agency) is bad at picking acting project. Other than Appledog, his recent dramas are soooo boring.
I didn’t mind this one but you are sooo right! I had to drop Unrequited Love and You Complete Me. I really didn’t want to bc I love Hu Yi Tian but I would try to give those a chance multiple times but always ended up falling asleep.
Just watched this on a whim and was surprised to find out it came out the same year as the cdrama. Which one was made first? Also Cao Guang is played by the same actor in the movie and drama! I love Angelababy as Bei Weiwei. I actually wish she was the FL in the cdrama instead. The editing of this unfortunately was a huge downfall for me. It would jump to a scene and I would have no idea what’s going on or who the person was. Alot of characters were just onscreen once or twice which makes you wonder why they were even needed in the movie. I understand it’s a movie and they can only fit so much in but it was extremely rushed. It actually started out great then the second half started to feel like clips of scenes placed together and it didn’t flow
