Article Comparison: Love 020 vs You Are My Glory
There’s a lot of points that I have to disagree on and your review seems very negative. Love O2O was one of the first CDramas I watched when I started a couple years ago. I totally fell in love with it and Yang Yang! The kissing scenes were definitely lacking for me and chemistry was ok. Zheng Shuang could’ve done better. After watching Yang Yang with Dilraba in YAMG it’s hard to imagine them not being in love for real because the chemistry is sooo good! When they started kissing I felt like I needed to leave the room! Lol Also, Dilraba’s face wasn’t “painted” white, if you’ve seen Dilraba in other dramas or reality shows then you’ll see that her skin is really snowy white! Xiao Nai was written to be as the male campus god that all girls wanted. If you think about it they need to show the girls screaming and loving him because it’s part of the story. Basically it’s the average girl wins the prince type of story. Comparing the best friends was very off. You shouldn’t be comparing Er Xi to Jing Jing’s childhood friend and best friend in the industry (which isn’t the same as a BEST FRIEND). Jing Jing’s best friends (considered to be bc she doesn’t have one in her current life) would be her manager and assistant because they are always with her. The pro gamer thing was another point that was incorrect. Yu Tu made her into a good gamer, she’s FAR from being a pro. She couldn’t even get a penta kill on her own after she got good. The endorsement match wasn’t a pro gaming event. YAMG is a slow burn romance story but that’s bc of real life issues that are at play. The story is about regret, reconnection, following your dreams and finding your way in life again with the one you love! Love O2O takes place in a school setting so the characters are young and they haven’t been plagued with a lot of issues that older adults have to worry about yet. Their story is more about falling in love through shared interests and relationship progression. I know a lot of people compare these 2 dramas because of the writer, Yang Yang and gaming aspect but they are 2 really different dramas. If you watch clips of Yang Yang in YAMG to help determine in watching it then it’s not a great idea bc he can seem boring unless you know the story of his character. Yu Tu is a quiet person because there’s an internal struggle that he keeps hidden inside. Yang Yang’s acting has improved so much from Love O2O. He didn’t even have to say any dialogue and I could feel his emotions through his body language and facial expressions. I didn’t intend for this comment to be this long. Both aren’t perfect and have draggy areas but both are enjoyable in their own way!
