I was a bit disheartened by the recent negative comments for this show, but I soon realized that the comments don't take away from my love of this show. Every episode makes me smile so much and, many times, that's all I really need. It's nice to escape stress and reality.

I think this has similar heart fluttering moments plus both male leads have their eyes fully on their targets from beginning to end. I’m rewatching this now and am still loving it, but I can very much relate to their quiet introverted personalities. Plus I love all the food talk at the beginning

More that they are both in established careers and it’s not a youth or college drama.. Not that much skinship if I remember right.

I disagree. It's not that close to the novel. The novel and webtoon are at about an 85% match. The drama is maybe 60-70% of that.

When Jiwon opened her apartment door after seeing no one in the camera made me immediately think "this woman really has no sense of self preservation!" How she dealt with Sumin was super satisfying. Now I wonder if you can really break out of a zip tie that way and how much it would hurt.

In the web novel, the cat also went back to live another life, but I'm not sure that was being implied in the drama.

I was about to comment that I really like this character. He seemed annoying at first, but you start to realize that he has a good heart. The actor made me so mad in Forecasting Love and Weather, but he actually was a highlight of that show. Such a good actor.

That ending would really be a bit meh without the special. Am glad Viki tacked it on the end. So cute!

He only got married sometime after his surgery. Remember how he had a blind date when LYY just returned to China and bought his black SUV? Jiang Yang's child should only be about 2 if the time skip was 3 years but whatever, I don't fuss over such oversights

The people who wrote those must not have read the novel which is very long, draggy and expensive (over $50 USD by the time I finished). I read it because I wanted to know what will happen, but I’m happy that the ending will be a surprise now.

Where did you get that Yura was the biggest villain in the novel? I read the novel and she really didn’t do much. She was a tool to show how Ji Hyuk and Hiyeon became so close as siblings and why Grandpa spoils Hiyeon. The worst thing Yura did in the novel happened when she and Hiyeon were teens and she made Hiyeon feel so bad that Hiyeon tried to unalive herself. She doesn’t have much power or even money available to her later on because she got banished to America for what she did. Her parents are wealthy, but they owe everything to Grandpa. I’m fine with the changes, but the drama writers diverged from both the webtoon and web novel.

Her character in the web novel is insignificant. That’s why she was left out of the webtoon. She really didn’t do much in the web novel other than sleep with Minwhan and manipulate Minwhan to expose Ji Hyuk’s true identity and make it look like Ji Hyuk cheated on his fiancee with Jiwon.

I also miss the grandpa in both the webtoon and novel.He was so sweet.

In both the webtoon and novel, Sumin triggers Minwhan’s mom’s aneurysm and leaves her lying on the floor until the dad gets home. Sumin then pretends to be the dutiful daughter-in-law and takes care of MIL in the hospital. In the meantime, Minwhan’s debts are out of control, so he decides to take out life insurance on Sumin and broke the brakes in his car. He planned to have an accident that kills Sumin. However, Sumin kills her MIL and a drunk and distraught Minwhan drives off in the car when he finds out about his mom’s death. He loses control of his car, it catches fire, he plunges into a river and dies. Jiwon and Ji Hyuk find out that Sumin killed her MIL and she goes to prison for life. Yu Ra was a very minor character in the web novel and added very little to the story. The drama is going to end differently based on previews, so I don’t think this is a spoiler in any way.

The webtoon is actually pretty similar to the web novel. All the main plot points from the novel are in the webtoon. The drama diverged quite a bit from both.

Not in the novel either. Yu Ra really didn’t do much in the novel except have an affair with Minwhan and manipulate him to expose Ji Hyuk’s identity as the chairman’s grandson and supposedly cheating on his rich fiancee. She’s mostly a spoiled rich brat who thinks she’s better than everyone else. One of the best parts of the overly long and draggy novel is how Grandpa deals with Yu Ra. Otherwise, there was a very good reason to omit her from the webtoon.

The story diverged from the web novel itself. Everything is completely different based on the previews for next week. Yu Ra didn’t play that big a role in the web novel either. Caused some trouble then was dealt with by Grandpa. The rest of the web novel ended very similarly to the webtoon.

I should have scrolled down before I posted my question. I've been hesitant to watch this because I don't think Yang Zi can pull off being a teenager. I already didn't like her as a university student in Oath of Love. I don't think she looks old, but she has a mature vibe.
