Not romance but his scenes with Song Zu Er are very cute.

Only on ep 4, but really enjoying this. I haven't really watched procedural/mystery shows since I got into Asian dramas during the pandemic, but they were my favourite. Some scenes in this are a bit too gross though.

I see so many posts across social media that he just relies on his looks. I'm rewatching You Are My Glory and have to disagree. He plays the disillusioned, lost and insecure Yu Tu so powerfully. You feel all the emotions he's going through. Also loved him in King's Avatar and Who Rules the World, but I can't remember if he goes through the same range of emotions

A modern one, although rural setting, that I absolutely loved is Meet Yourself. It's a slice of life drama that is so beautifully made and acted. The characters are all lovable.

This actor is in so many of my favourite shows.

Someone has been posting clips of You Are My Glory on TikTok and it really made me miss the series. I just started rewatching (don't know how many times this makes) and, even on episode 1, I'm already getting butterflies. It's a perfect series for me.

I'm on ep 10 and getting impatient for them to fall in love, so I came here for spoilers. It looks like they're still not together even at ep 27? I can do slow burn in 16 ep dramas, but this may be too much for me.

It’s actually the opposite. She thinks of him as her brother and he’s in love with her.

The kid was very cute and smart and made the drama more watchable for sure.

I'm only on ep 7, but she doesn't even attempt to apologize to Su Yu in any meaningful way(throwing money around means nothing). Instead, she keeps blaming and criticizing his dad. Su Yu has no reason to treat her with respect.

I’m on episode 19 and really enjoying the parts that I watch. I really like the lead couple, the tennis and training, the best friend with the daughter and the coach. I fast forward through all the scenes with the sister and the ex-boss. I don’t usually fast forward, so I don’t know how to rate this now. Do I deduct extra for the unlikeable characters or do I rate based on the parts I watch? This is the first show where I’ve fast forwarded so much on a first watch.

I just rewatched this for the 3rd or 4th time and that bothered me as well. Why does he have to be so nice?

I really can’t stand Rang Rang’s mother. I did much better at school than my brothers and is also the only girl, but my parents never showed such extreme favouritism. We were treated differently but not compared against each other although occasionally compared to their friends kids. Glad Rang Rang has his uncle and friends

Meet Yourself fits your criteria except the romance is secondary. It’s a beautiful mature, slice of life drama. The leads are very sweet throughout, but they don’t become a couple until quite late in the series. I still found it very romantic and it left a huge sense of joy much like Hidden Love.

It’s 9.1 now. Don’t know if that’s just naturally how it goes when a series ends or the Zhao Lusi haters are trying to bring down the numbers. I wish people would just vote based on the series and only if they watch the show.

I don’t think there’s anything quite like this. Most dramas don’t have the type of subtlety and maturity that you find here.

I’m only on ep 4 and loving this. Ended up getting a Youku subscription because of this show.
