I’m glad they showed Hongdou’s dad working his new job and enjoying it so much after being made to feel like he was too old to still work. I know lots of people look forward to retirement, but there are also many people who want to work for as long as they can. My dad worked until he was 80 and he says it’s what kept him sane and feeling young. He only had to quit because he now has to take care of my mom full-time. I also don’t ever want to retire. I like feeling useful and getting paid for it. Volunteering is fine if I had no bills whatsoever.

I was rewatching eps 25 and 26 on Viki and some of the subs have been updated. For example, in the original subs A-Yao says Hongdou is just ok during his confession. Now, it’s been subbed to just right which makes more sense. I noticed a few other changes here and there.

Impressive track record. All top notch dramas.

Go Ahead and Meet Yourself are definitely in my top 5 dramas. This director and screenwriter combo is a winner!

I didn’t realize that all these dramas had the same screenwriter. Find Yourself isn’t a favourite although I still enjoyed it. The other dramas are all ones that I would rewatch. I’m even rewatching episodes of Meet Yourself as it’s airing because I love it so much.

I cried from the confession all the way to her going through airport security. I know they’ll reunite, but this show majorly gets me in the feels.

I think Viki is using the Huace translations directly for this series and that’s why it’s not as good as even other Chinese dramas on Viki. There are lots of grammatical errors that distract me now and then.

I’ve been rewatching episodes while waiting for new episodes on Viki. I’m finding so many things that I missed the first time! The cutest thing that I noticed just now is that A’Yao’s computer desktop image is a photo of Hongdou (ep 24). Gave me butterflies.

I’m really missing this show today. I’m watching on Viki, so no new episode for 3 days. Beautiful in every way. I might rewatch some episodes while waiting for new ones.

I’m only on episode 8 and absolutely loving this series. It’s visually stunning. So much so, that it almost feels like an extended tourism ad for Yunnan if it didn’t have so many good stories. The acting is very much to my taste, from the little kids to the grannies.

It would be better if I could understand the language of the drama, but shows like this one don’t need complete attention. I could skip many scenes and not really miss much.

Finished. I didn’t notice the poor editing much. That’s probably because I mostly watched this while working or doing something else. I enjoyed it overall since I’m a sucker for mindless, fluffy romance as long as the acting is decent.

They could have just left him single instead of the surprise relationship. I was totally shipping Guanghan and Qiao

I’m on ep 15 and all I can think about is how their drama they’re filming is doomed. Why are the female leads(in the drama being filmed) so nasty! I know that we need some tension, but I always dislike underhanded, scheming characters.

Lu Zhao Xi’s mom in ep 7 looks like an older Yang Zi and similar facial expressions and speaking style as well.

I’m just at the beginning of ep 2 and I dislike her so much. I don’t understand how she can be so bitter and uncompassionate at such a young age. Yes, I get that she thinks he’s a scammer, goat thief, but her actions are excessive.

I’m on ep 2 and not liking the female lead. Way too young to be so bitter and suspicious. I think this is supposed to be funny but not so far. Happy to find your comment that this gets better.
