He didn't fully understand and believe it but SYM has been rejecting his marriage proposal 4 TIMES for the same reason, and by the 3rd time he could see her frustration & struggle to reject him again and again with teary eyes.. he could at least understand her fear and that she wasn't just spouting nonsense, so he made that plan in advance just to make sure she's safe.

I much prefer seeing SYM trying to avoid, run away, and rejecting NH harshly, than to see her plotting to kill him by using that script mechanism (hero has to save heroine).. if she's ruthless she can just tell that secret to CGH that he can kill NH by targeting her, but I'm glad she never do that🥹 yes she tried to kill him before but not again after she knew his double identities.

Yes that's why FL worked even harder to avoid being involve with NH.. he might not kill her anymore but in her thought, being involved with him in any way will only lead to a bad ending for her (death or being made a human pig which i think is scarier than death itself) and her family.

Liu Yuning also played a crazy villain role back in 2022 when he wasn't a popular actor like now, and his character went to weibo hot search no. 1 (partly bcs ppl scolding his character and but some also praised his convincing acting lol).. and he said filming that villain role really really drained him mentally (+ physically bcs there were some torture scenes which he filmed realistically), but he got great acting experience from there and it became one of his fav roles he ever played based on the role's difficulty and complexity, it also led him getting more recognition and offers as male lead.

So even though i hate CGH, i want to praise Wang Youshuo bcs his acting made us immersed in his character too.. Hope he can get better roles in the future!

In case of the emperor, i think he has been in hesitation since prev episodes after NH chose to let go his prince title, punish his uncle (the emperor's biggest enemy), and sacrificed himself again to save several ppl.. he was hesitant when CGH and NR wanted him to quickly promote NR as the crown prince.

The emperor has known from long ago that NH has the quality to be a leader, but he hates the potential of NH becoming a traitor who usurp the throne under his uncle influence. After seeing NH's sacrifices and how NH proved himself that he's not gonna be a traitor from Gao family, it's just the right time for the emperor to change side to NH i think.

This Gao uncle must be a great strategist like NH said, he made so many chaos in the country since 19 years ago.. So the emperor hates Gao family even more bcs any evidence to punish them is hard to find and he's aware of the potential rebellion led by Gao... and finally the emperor could defeat Gao uncle only by the cooperation of NH. I'm still annoyed at how emperor tortured NH in the past but at least he's got a character development, he still has time to redeem himself as a normal father! Also I'm glad that NR actually has her late mother's kind heart, and NH could finally treat him like a brother🥹

So now it's kinda confirmed that Gao uncle is the mastermind behind all these conspiracies against NH, he wants NH to grow up ruthless so that he can usurp the throne and become a powerful emperor.
1. He sent the assassins to kill SYM bcs she was the one who revealed to public about his past corruption and made NH let go his prince title.
2. He planted his ppl within the army to save him from being exiled (the explosion escape)
3. He sent Lu Yi to sell tangerines to lure CGH, and made Lu Yi gave false statement that NH refused to send help during Pingrong battle.
4. His people promised the Nightwalkers' 3rd & 4th masters to meet their boss, but actually they're sent to a place where Lu Yi got killed so CGH thinks it's NH again who wanted to silent Lu Yi.
