Thank you for responding! The physician left it open and warned us to continue treatment. She did not give any prognosis. There was no somber or pessimistic tone in her speech, but rather a warning. She assessed a previous situation, a time when he had practically been resurrected. She spoke in the same terms about Xi Wen's recovery. She did not give any certainty that she would walk again and that it would depend on her efforts, just like YX's, in continuing treatment. I believe that the scriptwriter wanted to maintain a balance, to create realism, to avoid a happy ending that was too sweet, too perfect, like the happy endings in Disneyland. In fact, the physician's caution is a trait of the sobriety of Chinese culture, which is expressed there in a scientific, cold, objective way, especially considering that in those distant times, people died from everything, so sobriety in prognoses was protocol, aiming for the patient to be very committed to treatment. The most difficult thing HY managed, YX was nothing more than a dying man: from then on they gained time to seek other sources of healing, HY, with her courage and perseverance, is the guarantee that she will be successful in curing her husband. That scene mixes three universes: the transcendental, the supernatural and the surreal, but the basis of support of these universes is the real world, we have there a notion of space and time. Space is the mansion and its courtyard, all the living were already there and time is the concrete reality in which the two, while watching the feast, discuss a beautiful future, without any melancholy or mention of deadlines. There would be no point in "killing him" after that promise and the kiss we had been waiting for throughout the series and that only happened at that moment. The scene has an oneiric atmosphere: the solution of placing the living and, let's say, those reincarnated in another world, dancing together, lighting each other's sticks, is of extreme poetic beauty, and it is up to YX to light the fireworks that make us relive the only scene of mutual affection between the two, holding hands on the bridge, looking up at the sky, admiring the fireworks. Returning to the scene, everyone got together; why couldn't he get together too? What caught my attention wasn't him on the opposite side, it was seeing all the women, and only the women, together. Nothing is more emblematic than this image, representing the centrality of the entire plot in women, as if shedding light on their decisive role in achieving justice and defending the family, now all together... In the context of the scene, it doesn't matter how long he has to live. What matters is that he's alive and making plans for the future, unlike the scene in the dungeon where he tells HY that he was close to dying. If he had received a prognosis, he wouldn't talk about the future, and that sentence is what guarantees the happy ending. If we didn't know that YX hadn't been poisoned, we wouldn't be so suspicious that he was on the other side, where the fuse of the fireworks he later lit was, but all the women together on the other side are what would draw our attention. See how interesting: there were concrete, real-world actions in the scene: a feast, the living dancing (the "others" only arrive later), the fireworks witnessed by everyone. All of these actions are relevant to the real world; the "reincarnated" are not there to fulfill the role of dividing worlds and labeling those who are beside them as dead or with their days numbered, but, on the contrary, they are mystically integrated into the real world to co-celebrate the justice that was done to them and to which much was owed to the women who were there, before them, not as the subjugated women of Athens, but like Spartan women, warriors, who have control of themselves...The scene tries to induce us to doubt, there are subtle traps there, it's true, but it's up to us to look positively at the clues that lead HY and YX to a future, short or not. This dilemma is for all of us, healthy or not... So let's take advantage of the time we think we have to be happy... Thank you once again!

My delicate and sensitive friend Sweet Alma (so much property in that name that speaks so much of your essence!), I am very grateful, rewarded to see that my perceptions were useful, in some way, enabling a vision of life from the point of view of spirituality, which allows us to access the sensitive and invisible universe with which we coexist. You and I have already exchanged perceptions on other occasions and we will certainly return to share other spaces and experiences. I am now awaiting the series Legend of the Female General and Serendipity, scheduled for April, in the Tecent calendar. I hope to see you there! Once again, thank you very much, your lightness adorns my life!

Hi, Stellovet!! Yesss! I will post this text and another one that analyzes HY's character from the JOHARI Window's point of view, doing justice to the good heart she has and was so misunderstood. I haven't put it in the Discussions yet because I was kind of distressed seeing that there were people who were sad and not convinced of the happy ending. So I posted it here first and for now I'm responding with all the zeal to the comments that come up. Later today I will post the text in the Discussions section. I really appreciate your interest in suggesting perpetuating the text and thus ensuring the happiness of those who have already watched and future viewers of TG! It's great to have you here!! 💕🌺

Hi, Sweet Alma! Thanks a lot for your words, they reinforce my conviction! The notion of time and space is present in the scene, situating the real world of YX and HY, and this real world has more relevance than the parallel world of "Afterlife", because it is a concrete reality, the scene with all those who have already died is an oneiric vision. It was an extremely beautiful solution to show that after death there is life, fulfillment, happiness! Once again, thank you very much!

Hi, VelvetLady852! Thank you so much for reading, for your words, your enthusiasm fuels mine even more! There really are series that are sophisticated, well-crafted in the context of the philosophical and artistic thought of fabulous China! From this perspective, for a greater understanding of such a universe, rewatching scenes/episodes is essential to have a proper understanding of the messages and more satisfaction with the experience of the story, the plot and all the intricate symbolism that constitutes the work. I am immensely happy that you share this same vision with me! You are always welcome. I invite you to take a look at the answer I gave to the profile @adorablemv: there I comment on the notion of time and space that situates the real world of the scene, which has greater relevance than the parallel world of the "Afterlife" for the simple fact that it is reality, and not the o eneiric and poetic scene of all those who had already died. Thank you very much again!!

Hi, Adorablemv! I have no doubts either, in fact, we have a sense of time there, he had just given the kiss we had been waiting for throughout the series and it happened right there and right after the promise of a happy future. There is no reason to "kill" YX right after. The scene mixes visions of three universes: the supernatural, the transcendental and the surrealist, in addition to the realism that prevails, that is, despite these allegorical elements, what must be taken into account is their real life in the context of the party. The vision we have is of two parallel worlds, but only the real world is concrete: he is alive, recovered, inspired by the hope of a happy future with HY and LZ! Thank you very much for your comment! Let's celebrate this happy ending!

Hi, Yellowfruit! If I were to answer your question, I would be repeating the words in the comment I made. In any case, the analysis I made should only be of interest to those who had doubts about the final scene, which is not your case. You already have a conviction, each of us has our own perceptions, I respect yours and I appreciate you bringing your opinion, which is very welcome. It would be good if you use the spoiler button in your comment. Thanks again.

I'm waiting for Legend of Female General and Serendipity, which are already on Tecent's calendar for April. I'm interested in others that are scheduled for June, like A Dream within a Dream (with Liu Yuning, I hope he doesn't die in this series...😅). What about you, do you already have a series in mind? 🌸

Hi, Megumi-H! Thank you so much for your kind comment. I agree with you, I also felt that the final development kind of sped up and simplified the outcome of each character. The scriptwriter got lost in unnecessary developments in the middle of the series, focusing on unimportant characters, resulting in superficiality, little space for the main character and a certain disarray in the conclusive developments. But the ending, not only from an aesthetic and symbolic point of view, was, in fact, rewarding. The series has a lot of value, despite some flaws in the plot, the actors were wonderful, especially Dudu, Wen Cheng Rong and the adorable and promising Huang Bo Si. I hope to be with you in other series! Thank you very much again!

For those who had doubts about the final scene of TG: 👇
It's important to always consider that mystique in Chinese civilization is a trait that manifests itself in its rites, philosophy, art, culture, symbolism, customs, and its very peculiar way of interpreting death. The final scene is pungent, poignant and is full of poetic licenses, mystique, and symbolism, combining earthly reality with a supernatural touch, by bringing together the living and all those who had passed away in the same environment, co-celebrating the victory of love and justice. Some here have interpreted that the fact that YS comes down the stairs (holding hands with LZ and HY) and stands next to those who had already passed away would be a sign that he had also passed away. I don't see it that way. Let's remember YS's last sentence, before he goes down the stairs, he promises HY a beautiful future and gives HY the long-awaited kiss, caught by LZ, who was responsible for taking them down to the courtyard where everyone was already celebrating, only they were still apart, watching the scene, a true congregation. There is no reason to "kill" YX right after. The scene mixes visions of three universes: the supernatural, the transcendental and the surrealist, in addition to the realism that prevails, that is, despite these allegorical elements, what must be taken into account is their real life in the context of the feast. The vision offers two parallel worlds, but only the real world is concrete: he is alive, recovered, inspired by the hope of a happy future with HY and LZ. It would be a contradiction to show YS "dead" right after. It's important to note that everyone is interacting in that scene, without distinction. In general, this type of situation is portrayed with the living in their reality and those who have passed away just watching from a parallel reality, passively, without interacting with the world of the living and without touching them, in a reality of their own, separate from earthly life. But what we saw is that everyone interacts, touching each other in various situations. It's a moment in which life is celebrated together. We were surprised by the striking lyricism and mystique of the inclusion of those who had already passed away, a conception that provided the vision of a happy ending also for those who had suffered and perished at the hands of SY. It was like joining the two worlds, the earthly and the spiritual, showing what our earthly experience does not reach, does not see. The invisible curtain that separates these worlds was removed so that we could see all those who passed away free from pain, alive and happy with an afterlife consummated from the perspective of reincarnation, in the continuation of life and co-participating in the celebration in this world, but from the perspective of a mystical experience, situated between the transcendental and the supernatural. It is a moment in which life is celebrated together. From the point of view of poetic license, the scene is the materialization of our imaginary about the afterlife and the perception that those who have passed away are still close to us. But one detail really draws attention: why wasn't HA's older sister, who died of poisoning, also there, like Yu Chi was? Wouldn't it be perfect for her and Ling Zhi to meet in that vision? So the congregation was selective, she was excluded from the feast, do you know why? So as not to embarrass the earthly life of the couple HA and YX, which proves that he was not on the other side as a dead person. If YX had really died, she would be in the group. This detail is one of the holes in this conception. When we toast their memory, we pay tribute to the spirit of those who have passed away, we always imagine that they, in some way, see us in our daily lives and they toast with us... In this way, the scene has a conception that had the sensitivity to place everyone together in the courtyard. But there is one more detail that no one has yet commented on and is more significant than assuming that YX had passed away: the only way to keep ALL the women in the house together was to put YX aside. It is a clear highlight that sheds light on the central role that women played in the consummation of justice. The image of the fireworks that YX was responsible for lighting, repeats the experience he had with ZHY, by bringing back the scene of the two together, on the bridge, watching the fireworks in a first gesture of reciprocal love. As we can see, there are symbols everywhere, to understand them it is necessary to review the work and reflect...a lot! Nothing is random in cdrama productions, nothing is banal, they are full of culture, poetry, art, cuisine, incense, music. Watching a Chinese series is an exercise in learning and reflection, an opportunity to delve into the philosophical meaning of life, the inescapable death, the mystique of the rites, the deep respect for the memory and destiny of the dead in another life. But have no doubt: Han Yan, Yun Xi and the little butterfly Ling Zhi are destined to live happily ever after!

Perfect HE!!
In our chat yesterday, we hit the nail on the head with our hypotheses. I think the final message is about overcoming and hope: overcoming challenges with courage and determination, and these are HY's main strengths, both driven by the driving force of love. YX was almost dead: he recovered. The physician's speech at the end, saying that there may be no cure due to the time he was poisoned, it sounds to me like a balanced script, without a perfect happy ending, kinda Disneyland, but it delivered a more realistic story, more human. The script makes it very clear that the sttuborn struggle brings totally compensatory results. I told you yesterday that it was possible that HY's father certainly had the antidote and that she would be in a dilemma? That's what happened, but the dilemma was overcome by her and YX's successful plan. HY is persevering and combative. I also mentioned this to you that she would be successful in obtaining the antidote. By her nature, she was able to literally bring YX back to life, the script also makes it clear that HY is a guarantee for his healing and a long and fruitful life, because she does not give up on her goals. It is a wonderful message that we can take advantage of in our own lives. The recipe is this: courage, perseverance, obstinacy, hope, virtues that gain strength and stature when they are under the exclusive tutelage of love. I believed in HE the whole time: it is an immense joy to talk to you again. During the final episodes I kept remembering our amazing conversation yesterday. I was going to go back to your last comment from yesterday to celebrate this joy! I hope to see you in other series! Thank you for this wonderful exchange!
