I remember how the series was attacked by Yu Shuxin's fans. When ZLS's health drama happened, I remembered that period of Pearl Girl, ZLS filmed the series in the midst of severe depression. It's more than clear that this group, as you classified very well, had a mission. But the mission didn't work out and this time Yu Zheng was spared...😅

I also wondered why this series was so persecuted. What intrigued me was the attempt to label the series as misogenous, an artificial characterization, because there is nothing misogenous in the series, on the contrary, the MLs are totally harmless and hostages of women. It's a clearly matriarchal story. This attack isn't born out of a spontaneous outcry, it's an artificial movement with the aim of compromising the image of the series as ethically and morally inappropriate. The producer of this series is the controversial Yu Zheng, who was accused, through mere speculation and without any proof, of being one of Zhao Lu Si's possible oppressors. The attacks on this series, so light, naive and far from being misogynistic, directly affect its producer, Yu Zheng. It would then be a kind of persecution directed at him. Nothing else would explain the obsession of this group of people (who disappeared🙏), not ZLS fans, but I suppose it's a radical feminist group wanting to settle accounts with Yu Zheng who, it has already been proven, is innocent and had nothing to do with the mistreatment ZLS suffered.
About you rewatch TSOPG, once we know the beginning, middle and end, it doesn't hurt as much, when the series has a SE. It's a quality production, it sends a wonderful message to contemporary women, and ZLS's performance is impeccable!

This series is captivating everyone, I think it'll be one of the best of the year! The platform of the story is matriarchal, the MLs are adorable, especially WXY, who was successful in The Double, in the role of Duke Su. The entire cast is wonderful, there is a synergy that flows in a plot that captures our attention and sometimes tests our nerves, like the wonderful episode 12. It's an easy story to assimilate, very funny and has moments that move us, because despite being a comedy , the script explores the complexity of human relationships, the natural pain and anguish of the fight for survival or loss of loved ones. The matriarchy, represented by the three widowed mothers, CA's aunt, Madam Li's daughters and even her daughters' servants, holds the decision-making power that regulates all MLs who enter the family. No one can deny, even with all the limitations of each historical period, even with the current challenges, women are the pillar of society, as they are the ones who give birth, nurture, educate.

My opinion about this delicious series: it's a totally matriarchal comedy: three strong widowed mothers, an aunt who also decides the fate of her nephew (CA), servants (girls) who help plan schemes, domineering daughters/wives lol. The only thing missing is the whip to eliminate any doubts... lol Honestly, men are not only harmless but adorable!
