I'm not disappointed with KMLM. Before I started watching I made a pact with myself: not to compare it to The Double (which I love) even though it has WJY as the main FL. The Double has its own shape. KMLM too, it’s another world. I don't expect ML to be XFF, I don't expect MJH to be Duke Su, I don't expect CP to be Wanning, I don't expect Yue Qin to be SYR, I don't expect more or less cruelty or romance, I don't expect to find similarities between the plots nor between the revamped plot and the novel. I prepared myself to see something new. If I compare all the time, I won't be able to absorb new stories, with different rhythms, with doses of hate and love perfect for their context, with characters and their moral attire and emotional load in accordance with the plot's proposals. I'm loving every moment of KMLM because I just let its universe flows in me without making comparisons all the time. It would be like taking a trip to Yunnan and comparing it to New York. The key word is 'context'. Do not be prejudiced against Fairy Tales: these ancient tales continue to be a source for universal creation and studies of psychology and behavior.
