So far the drama is ok, but whoever did the subtitle did a terrible & lazy job. Looks like they just google translate it.

I would say both. When she was betrothed to HBY, she finally receives motherly love from the empress and i believe CSS love the empress like her own mother, thus out of duty & filial piety, she choose to stay with the empress. I also think she choose to isolate herself to mend her broken heart.

Those stupid toxic crazy fans, rather that being angry, they should be happy that WL has and upcoming drama. Rather than being upset & wrote negativecomments, they should go & pray really hard so that there's an opportunity for WL & ZLS to work together again.

While there are male actor have to do some rigorous excercise/ work out for drama or movie, male actor don't really face the same pressure compared to female actor regarding their weight/ body shape. Let face it, asian country (most of them) has really ridiculous beauty standards in entertainment industries.

The real culprit of the Lou family downfall is Tutor Lou. If he just accept the fact that his son(s) is talentless and can never be successful, and didn't suppress LB, the tragedy probably will not happen.
As for Lou Li, her hatred and dislike of CSS really blinded her thus that's why she was easily manipulated by WYJ.

I wonder if the Chinese government regulations on maximum number of episodes for a drama still applied if it will be air on Netflix?
I hope the re-editing episodes have the originally plan 66 episodes. The episodes cuts and the rush editing for the release of "express episodes" really caused the drama to loose its momentum a bit in the end.

I don't really know why many people raving about LBFAD. I watched the first 8 episodes of LBFAD and it didn't give me the feeling of wanting to continue to watch it. For me it's usually a sign that that drama is not for me.
But Dylan Wang costume looks beautiful though. As for the rest of the characters ( the gods & fairy costumes) is totally bland and boring.

Both empress and Consort yue are very kind to CSS especially the empress who is very close to CSS. CSS actually receives all the motherly love she never had from the empress.

Rather than unconditional love, it's more like resign to the fact that CSS will never love him like the way she love HBY and will always been "a friend" to CSS.
I think YS totally given up on CSS when he found out why HBY helping him and his family.

I kind of hoping he shows up in the end, but alas, no luck. But I'm wondering if he show up in the novel or he just being mention in passing.

I actually really dislike the One who has NO chance in part 1 because he's attitudes really annoying. But ultimately I do pity him because he was friend zone the whole time in part 2. But I'm glad he somewhat reedem himself in the end.

Is it just or what. I feel like Tutor Lou & officer Zuo face look similar. They don't have many scene together so I sometimes confused especially when they wear the hat when meeting the emperor. Probably because their moustache and face shape is similar.

This is the best emperor i ever seen in drama, but I do hate him sometimes because he is too soft hearted in making decisions or to give punishment when his subject doing evil thing which ended up HBY massacre the Ling family because he couldn't get justice for the whole Huo clan. Even Consort Yue is more decisive than the emperor.
Consort Yue and the Empress is the most level headed and mature women in the royal family. I'm sure there are time they will feel jealous of each other but I think they put their duty over to the country over their feeling. They both also are not power hungry.

I'm probably bias on this matter because I really like this drama, but i thought the Chinese government regulations cap the number of episodes at max 40 episodes. Since this drama is split into 2 parts, having 66 episodes split into 2 part doesn't seem to broke the rules yet since each part will only consist of 30++ episodes each. But I guess because this drama is quite popular, tencent & wetv doesn't want the government attention at them which would cause trouble for all of them in the future.

In one hand, I'm glad that tencent & wetv decided to roll out the remaining episodes early but on the other hand I wish they just follow the schedule of 6 episodes a week because the editing for the episodes is quite bad and choppy.

Run away as far and as fast as possible. If this is a modern romance drama, HBY will definitely end up in mental hospital.
I think what attracted HBY to CSS is that CSS is headstrong like him and she has a unique personality unlike most of the young ladies in the capital.

YS really redeem himself in the end.

That officer zhuo reallycan't keep his mouth shut. i wish the 3rd prince or YS or general wan or even the emperor broke his other feet & dislocate his other shoulder or even punch his mouth. He is really really annoying. Considering how Zhisheng saw his father murdered when he was a child and saw his whole family slaughtered and hang on the gate, it could traumatised any normal adult let alone a child.
Listening to zhisheng telling the emperor what happen in gu city is really heart wrenching. This is the scene where i cried and really feel pity to the young zhisheng back then.

Kind of weird watching 3rd prince sad face. He usually show stoic indifferent face.
