Chairman Choi is sure a coward by committing suicide. He talk about how only weak people would make amend or trying to apologise on their sin/ mistake but didn't he realize that only a coward would take the easy way out (suicide). Basically till the end he never admits his wrongdoings and all the people lives he ruins in the name of power. Also, is it really necessary to kill the child? Whoever give an "ok" to this plot has something wrong with his/ her head.

In the novel, the first time Yuan Shen becomes fully aware that he has feelings for Shao Shang is when Shao Shang…
I never like YS since the beginning, he's the kind of person who thinks the world is revolve around him & has over inflated ego. I doubt he will ever see & respect CSS the way LBY did. As for LY, even though he's way too naive & weak, he's 100x better than YS. If LBY not in the picture, I definitely prefer CSS marries LY instead of YS.
As I understand it. LBY is already engaged to CSS at this point. LBY proposed marriage in episode 21, and unless…
YS is the mirror image of his master (CSS 3rd aunt ex-fiance). They both on some level very selfish. They only think about how they feel & how the women they "love" suppose to feel. From all the comments that i read & from the novel discussions, thankfully YS realise his error & let CSS go, if not CSS will resent YS & end up being miserable.
In the beginning she 15 and he 21 (in novel she 13), you mean got together second time? after 5 years
Yikes, 21 yo fallen in love with a 13 yo ( which is practically still a child). Its good thing the drama change CSS age because if they follow the novel, LBY is practically a pedophile.
Aside from the misleading genre as advertised by the trailer, the drama is quite enjoyable. But honestly the editing is quite confusing and the narrator throughout the whole drama is totally unnecessary & the fact that all the "mystery" was presented by the police in the last episode totally kill the drama climax.
If it's not a remake, this drama is very good, however since i have watch the OG, it's very hard trying not to compared the 2 drama. Overall, i feel that the korean version characters lack the level of " craziness" if compared to the OG. The Korean version craziness is more subdued. Even Young Min character doesn reach the "sleazyness" level if compared to OG Arturo character.
I never read the webtoon so i can't compared it with the drama. But overall I actually enjoy watching this drama. I watch enough c-drama that was adapted from novels so I never have any high expectations the drama will follow the original 100%. Besides, if the drama follows 100% from the original, can it still be called adaptation? Shouldn't it be call live action instead?. Also, telling other people not to watch the drama because you don't like it kinda rude. Different people has different preferences. If everyone have the same preference/ like etc, its makes us no different than a robot.
Could you give a summary since I won't be reading the novel?
The novel has darker tone compared with the drama. In the novel, the FL seems suffering from depression and schizophrenia. The FL father is a terrible father considering what he did causes the FL to suffer from mental illness. The way FL father died in the novel was more gruesome compared to the drama.
I honestly don’t understand why Prince Guangping was crying. Does he or does he not love his daughter? Why didn’t…
In the novel, FL father is an evil and a terrible person & never felt any remorse until he was killed eventually by the FL. I guess in the drama version, FL father will receive some sort of redemption in the end since he was shown crying while remembering his late wife.
I can't push myself to continue after the 2nd eps. The princess is sooo... ughhhEven if she don't think about…
FL doesn't have good relationship with her father. FL grandfather indulge her attitude as a form of compensation because of what happen to FL after FL birth mother died when FL was young.
You are here!!!!! The main cast are all precious here!!!! I read the novel and I'm slightly disappointed they…
I guess if they follow the novel too closely, the drama may not passes censorship. I have read the novel as well, it it actually make me understand more why the FL act like that and why she become like that. It also make me root for the lead couple more.
If the drama follows the novel, it has HE, but it seems the drama deviate quite a bit from the novel.
The drama currently only at episode 10, so far the difference that i notice: 1. The stepmother is not from Lu family. She actually the FL aunt. FL father had an affair with the aunt. 2. The ex-fiance lover (yue ling) didn't die early. She not a maid but childhood sweetheart. She become the ex-fiance concubine halfway through the novel. 3. Lady Xu & FL not really close friend but kind of frenemies i guess. They do help and protect each other. 4. The ML didn't live with his family, he actually has his own house. 5. The reason ML & FL fell from the cliff is because ML tried to save FL who was push to commit suicide by the ex-fiance (FL has depression & other mental illness).
Actually the novel is a bit darker compared to the drama but thankfully the novel has HE.
Watched till episodes 10, aside from the terrible editing, the drama is actually very enjoyable to watch. The chemistry between the lead is good as well. The drama is a bit brighter compared to the novel where this drama is adapted from. The novel plot is a bit dark where in the novel, the FL is suffered from mental illness due to her father machinations.
Also, is it really necessary to kill the child? Whoever give an "ok" to this plot has something wrong with his/ her head.
