The part about why they sold it to HunanTV is purely speculation. But the malicious suppression of OOL os a fact everyone can see at this point. Tencent infighting is also a fact, drama production teams are constantly competing for an air slot, promo etc. Just look how Tencent treated DC, they kept redirecting its heat to another *cough* drama on their own chart until fans pointed it out to them and complained formally. Good thing we had CCTV to do all the DC promo

One more year and OOL will be an outdated 3 year old drama, just like The Wolf when it aired. Not sure if aired is the right word, they basically just spit out all episodes in one day without any promo, they know fans will still watch anyway. Maybe it’s better if OOL never comes out than get “aired” like they did with TW.

You’re right. I’m never giving up on ool. I but I want to stop constantly waiting and thinking about it. It hurts less this way. They should have never announced it and dropped all the teasers on us back in August…I will be the happiest person on earth if it airs one day. If it doesn’t… Chinese entertainment would have lost probably one of the best projects ever.

There’s lots of infighting in Tencent, maybe they sold to Hunan on purpose. Some capitals obviously don’t want this drama see the light of day

HunanTV is determined to bury OOL and Tencent doesn’t want to do anything about it, they already got their money when people bought VIP in August. Forget about this drama, it’s never coming

But OOL has nothing to do with Mgtv , it was never supposed to be mentioned at their conference. OOL is a Tencent produced and Tencent exclusive drama which HunanTV has airing rights for.
Tencent conference is on November 3rd and Hunan’s conference is tomorrow.

MangoTV has nothing to do with OOL, though. OOL is Tencent production with rights to air on HunanTV. You need to wait for HunanTV conference (29/10) or Tencent conference (3/11), if you are still hoping for some ool news

I am not sure what “boycott” you are referring to. The drama is currently awaiting its distribution license which can take a very long time to obtain. If you saw someone “boycotting” it I guess it’s better to ask those people what exactly, why and most importantly how they are boycotting a drama that hasn’t aired yet and doesn’t even have a distribution license lol Sounds like you may have encountered posts by some losers with too much spare time on their hands

Hunan is airing another urban romance drama from 10/04. They just want to keep flopping and destroying themselves. It’s fun to watch, I’d wish only they didn’t tank OOL with them
