You are right, it probably is angsty but some people make these small inconveniences look like a tragedy 😂
Which is not bad of you think about it, it means the audience is really into the characters. The writers are pulling the strings of our hearts 😩🤣

Lol why are people calling episodes 13-14 angst? This is just real life, people get insecure and doubt themselves like Gu Wei and fail to set boundaries with the opposite sex (I am looking at you Lin Zhi Xiao and second male lead). All these are normal human emotions, everyone had to deal with them from time to time and overcome them. Or not. I see it as pretty regular slice of life kind of thing, not “angst”

As a subscriber of both iqiyi and tencent app I respectfully disagree. Web dramas are the worst from my experience. With OOL I know that at least the episodes that were on tv today, will appear in t app later. But it’s not that important really, I am just enjoying the drama

Not really, all c ent dramas have weird confusing schedules that change midair , especially when they need to coordinate with TV broadcasters. I understand you may not be aware of it but ool is actually one of the less confusing ones 😂

Yeah I think they made good changes for the tv adaptation, not everything that’s good and the novel would translate well on screen

Not a romance lover here but I am absolutely loving this! Finally a romance cdrama that is worth watching. Thankfully it exceeds expectations

I agree about some points but definitely not about the chemistry between the leads - it’s probably the first Chinese romance drama in my memory where the leads actually have natural chemistry with each other. It’s nice to finally have a cdrama where the romance doesn’t feel forced for a change. Which really helps with some of the other issues this drama might have.
But it is indeed just a light feel good romance . If you’re looking for some heavy psychological stuff with challenging roles, the Oath of Love is not for you (if that wasn’t clear from the trailers and the plot description).
So I will definitely keep watching, the chemistry between actors is off the charts and their comedic timing is impeccable

In all seriousness tho, no need to torture yourself . I recommend you check out the transformers franchise instead , you might enjoy it

The CGI looks amazing. I really like the aesthetics they are going for, everything we’ve seen so far looks magical
