I wish I saw what you were talking about but it does truthfully sound like you were writing your own show while watching this, I saw none of this while watching. Maybe I'll rewatch it but idk. No it's not time taken to build characters when its the same shit for 3 eps straight. You have 9 episodes and you chose to waste them on "OH U ARROGANT YOUNGUN HOW DARE YOU!!?!?!" and cut the actual backstory of the leads to what is effectively a rushjob backstory. I wish more time was spent on the 2 male leads as well as the female leads to establish their struggle and motivation. The shots we get of the 2 male leads backstory tells us the cliffnotes but also rushes ahead.
Even if they shove more bits of the backstory I would have ultimately preferred a linear narrative, and the first 3 episodes spent on the childhood of the main heroes, how they grew up, what they say, their motivation to join the millitary to get revenge and protect villages like the ones they watched get decimated when they were young, only to be met with heartbreak and tragedy.
There is a truly emotionally involving start to the story here, but we just get to see bits n pieces of it. The actors do what they can but I'm not happy at all with how much is glossed over and spedrun.
Maybe the rest will prove me wrong but I know actually nothing about any of the copy-paste authority figures despite how they look like.

They do depict something but the characters are my issue with this. Why tf is anyone in charge here actually in charge, they act like absolute children? They don't exhude any form of authority, they just get uppity when their egos are even slightly chipped and we get the exact same "uhhh ur so arrogant how dare u" scene every like 3 minutes.
Usually if someone is a figure of authority that others must respect this is clearly showcased in their character. But the figures of authority here are respected because the show told us they have to be :/.

There are some good core concepts of a better story here. A fugitive forced to be a bandit to survive, a woman overcoming prejudice to pursue her dream, an honorable man overcoming hierarchy.
I hope they do something other than the most repetitive scenes you've seen while cutting any meaningful scenes super short.

I'm also in my 20s but I do relate to this and agree. I love meaningful friendships or other forms of relationships that aren't romantic but leave such a lasting influence on others. I still remember co-workers that helped me and were nice to me that I don't see any longer, and people who helped me through my teens as well.
I've passed by many people on my journey to making this comment, and although I've never had a romantic relationship, all of those people still had an influence on the me of today.

Uf nemoj me za My Mister poceti izvadicu pesnice, haha. Lee Ji An lose napisana? Apsolutno nije, obozavam njen lik, ona je prozivela pakao I nikad je niko nije voleo. Ja ne znam, meni zaista nema to ni gram smisla zasto bi se ijedna devojka zaljubila u ijednog muskarca. Nzm. kako da obljasnim drugacije. My Mister mi je omiljeno ista ikada I gotivim zato sto mnogo riletujem sa oba glavna lika u smislu njihove mizerije I stava. Obozavam atmosferu I koliko je lowkey I ima sofisticiran znacajan dijalog kao I jako down to earth realistican dijalog sa bracom I u baru i generalno. Svi likovi imaju tu internu patnju od svog zivota sa kojom se bave na drugacije nacine I obozavam to da vidim zato sto ih razumem. Razumem kada se osecas mrtvo iznutra I oces da vristis ali zivot ti ide napred.
Jednostavno ta serija mi je izazvala takve emocije da ja ne mogu da opisem recima cak Iako pokusao. Svaka epizoda mi se igrala sa srcom. Slicni osecaj imam u vezi serije "Lost" koja je takodje jako spora, depresivna, jako down to earth serija. Ja to obozavam, obozavam da se saosecam sa mizerijom I patnjom koju razumem interno, I zato obozavam My Mister.
