The clips/gifs I mentioned in my response to OP were about pet foxes. And they were similar how Ji Ling acted. Real foxes eat chickens raw, feathers and all... I don’t think viewers would want that level of realism.

And his character was a blind fox who probably fed on berries and plants. So he was likely not a very skilled hunter anyway.

I was referring to the mannerisms in those clips. And they weren’t wild foxes anyway—they were pet foxes. I meant things like the small bites, the little pauses in between, and similar behavior.

I think he did good research, and he loves animals. People on XHS were sharing GIFs and mini clips showing that the way he ate the chicken was very similar to how real foxes eat.
