I see that you have a way with your words. But tell me this: why on earth are we comparing my mister, hospital playlist etc with this drama. It's an apple to orange comparison. You're making convoluted statements with fancy words only to hide your backward mentality. Are u saying that the drama you listed down are good because they dont have nudity or are you saying they are good because of storytelling etc. Because those 2 are completely different and not mutually exclusive. If you are saying that this drama didn't have amazing storytelling/emotions compared to the others i can perhaps agree to that but if you think adding some nudity will ruin korea you're stupid 🙂

Yeah i didn't mean it as an excuse, i meant that it seemed they compressed a lot of things to fit in 8 episodes so perhaps it was written as 16/20 eps and there was lot of editing

JCW and JJS already did this drama and will be doing ads together too for hydrogen korea. If she was single perhaps i would have shipped them😂, well they seemed very friendly in the gym jong kook video

The story flow will definitely not be smooth in an 8 episode series. I really thought the episodes will be around 1.5 hrs atleast.Also i feel the scene between king and queen was quite necessary in terms of story. Well it is what it is...i still think it deserves 8+ atleast.

I somehow feel they made the scenes longer and then edited out a lot during post production, maybe they were told to make it 8 episodes later. It's a good drama but they could have explored a lot in 12 or 16 eps, especially the relationship between the king and queen, i really feel that the death was very abrupt, could have stretched it a bit more. But JCW is going crazy nowadays first worst of evil, now this and then gangnam b side...

Yess exactly...i have lost any respect i had for mdl ratings after this one. If anything we should commend their courage for showing these scenes and trying to avoid cliches

It's the kdrama purists, some watch Korean dramas for the cliches only...like love triangle, 1st kiss in ep 11 etc.😆

The older sister is extremely power hungry so she didn't want to marry the king who was 2nd prince at that time because he was not the eldest son(who was supposed to be king), so she wouldn't have become the queen. But due to unexpected events, she could not become queen so she wanted back her lost opportunity

He always tries to bring something new and show a new side of his acting prowess to the audience, truly commendable. Tbh he did too many dark characters recently 😂, i would love to see him in a noh ji wook(suspicious partner)type character next, playing a lawyer or business guy

I see many people complaining about the length, even i feel that 16 or 20 eps could have made this even better but i am sure it was a budget issue as well as perhaps scheduling conflicts. Don't know about the others but JCW is extremely busy man.16 episode dramas are anyways disappearing from all genres not only sageuks. Also i feel this one should have been on netflix/other relatively popular OTT's , i know Netflix was not possible as tving is their direct competitor but the international audience would enjoy this much more than local koreans(just my assumption)
