Jcw should definitely have an ongoing relationship with Netflix, even though he's being paid very well by disney and having a good relationship there. There's no denying that netflix is the no. 1 ott currently atleast from an international perspective

Answer to the 1st qs is shown in ep 3, basically king appoints him because he knows of his talents (and neutral nature) regarding the rest even i am not sure..but the queen definitely doesn't seem to believe in rumours until she has seen from her own eyes.
