I didn't make the prediction based on the novel since I haven't read it. Just that it seems to me, based on other drama experiences, that's the way I think LJX will end.

Haha that would be awesome ending for him. But I have a feeling he will sacrifice himself for her in some way in the end to show us that he really did love her. I'll be happy if I'm wrong.

He will most likely have more screen time now until the end and I don't mind 2ML's scenes. It's very interesting to see how delusional he is and certainly not boring lol

Maybe in the novel he did but not in the drama. I saw no evidence of it until now. He has done nothing that shows he has put her first instead of himself. They'll probably redeem him in the end and he will die for her and all is forgiven.

Maybe LJX's idea of doting would be the Duke forcing YN into his home and locking her up until she quietly obey all his commands and of course forcing her to call him "father" or else he will threaten to harm 3rd brother. Isn't that the definition of doting?

Because she will be part of the Luo's family when she marries LSY. And that would make the ex-father, her father-in-law. So the baby will be calling the ex-father, YeYe instead of Gung gung. Weird, huh?

I don't think LJX has ever loved YN. He has no clue the type of person she is and what she values. He thinks that she would be grateful for him in getting her that noble title but it was exactly what she don't want. He only thinks he loves her because she was kind to him when he was at his weakest. If he really loves her, her needs and wants would be his top priority and not forcing her into loving him back.

I think some months must have passed since she moved out - LSY passed his 3rd exam and now working as an official, oldest daughter from 1st family got married, the store has been open for some time so things have been settled for a while.

Song girl is not some random chick. LJX approached her for the purpose of gaining power and let her think he was interested in marrying her. Song girl found out about LYN, hence she tried to get rid of her. So LJX is responsible for LYN falling off the cliff.

I saw she's in Dark night and dawn. I'm planning to watch that so will check out her acting chops lol

It's ironic that LJX is telling the Song girl to let it go when he won't himself.

It's so satisfying to see LSY being in a higher position than his father. His father working under him must be the best revenge lol.

Oh I just google her and she graduated from Harvard so she is smart and talented unless she bribed her way in but I don't think that's likely. It's not China. But you're right, I'm sure money talks and some drama casting and decisions are based on the investors' conditions.

Oh disappointed. There was none in Long Ballad and seems like none here as well.

Sadly, I don't think they can since money making/investment is one of the biggest consideration for production. I never knew fans have so much power but seems like they can make or break the production if they are loud enough.

It's cute LYN and LSY still casually holding hands all the time even after finding out they are not siblings.

Ah ok thanks for your insight. It makes so much sense now, hence why some dramas used to be over 50 episodes because they were 'soap opera' genre. But I guess because of the new rule of 40 episodes max, it changes alot of things and viewers not liking other supports to take up the mains' screen time because it's limited. Production now have to cater to the major audience, hence some stories are compromised in terms of storytelling and plot. You add top billing, fanwars and censorship on top of that, I don't envy the production companies lol

Same. Thanks to Netflix, I began my journey with kdrama and Taiwanese dramas first but now I mainly watch cdramas.
