Well the tag states real life and I doubt that's the age of the characters for the drama.

I saw age gap on the tag and I had to check ZWY's age. He's only 30. Seriously? 6 years is considered an age gap?? weird.

Not too sure about the rules during that time, but isn't it inappropriate to have both sisters as wife/concubine to the emperor? I don't think I have seen this before when a man married two sisters as wives unless one of them was deceased.

IKR. Not only did he leave her to near death, but responsible for getting her brothers killed, and also have the person responsible be his concubine. Seriously, not even an ounce of guilt coming from him. I'm not sure why everyone is ok with his actions and shipping him with the Empress. She's way too good for him.

Agree. Everyone was saying the FL was too emotionless and unforgiving. She would be happy with the outcome.

I actually find her the least pretty among the 3 FLs. To each their own.

Yes that was strange. It makes me think Ziyu and LMT weren't even that close before. If she was his 'woman', no man would do that since he would assumed they were sleeping together as husband and wife.

Agree with this. I was hoping the ZQ doesn't go running after her when he met her again. I never like He Zhen. ZQ has always been nice to her and she treated him like crap and being really rude to him. She definitely didn't deserve him.

You should cut her some slack. Her mom basically said she practically raised herself. She got a full scholarship and her parents never had to pay for her schooling and expenses. She worked hard both academically and in the working world. She deserves a break in my opinion. Calling her lazy is just so unfair.

You can't blame the episode restriction since you can have up to 40 episodes. They could've added 4 more episodes instead of all those cuts. Blame the production company.

Really? You would rather have 5 days of no episodes if the schedule was fixed. No thanks. I rather have an episode a day without skipping. 2 I considered is a bonus :-)

I thought exactly the same. This is the smartest ML character. Even when he was 'simping' over the FL, he still managed to use every advantage he can get - the broken leg, the housewarming, fooling BeiZhou Lord etc. he never stops planning even when he was chasing her.

Yes I'm so tired of the gender war. I have been reading all these ML VS FL. Both sides are valid but it's not even that bad. I'm on episode 26 and I'm still wondering why everyone is raging.

You're seeing this from a modern western perspective. It's is very disrespectful to sleep with a women and not take her as wife/concubine in that time. They were not living together as in sleeping in the same room. the whole place has 100 of people there and her uncle. If they have slept together, do you think her uncle is going to have her disrespected that way. The SML doesn't seem like the type who would sleep with the FL but not married her. If they have slept together, don't you think he would have mentioned it as she would be his woman. Even holding hands and hugging is a big deal back them. I see no evidence that they have slept together and not likely giving that time period when a women's honor is very important.
