I found the FL more annoying. She is a psychologist but she is rude, bias and judgmental. No one in this drama is normal but I guess that's what is interesting about it.

I think she is mild compare to some of the C-drama mothers I've watched. There were some really nasty ones who made my blood boil.

Yup it's a cultural thing. I'm Chinese and cousins with the same surname, we used to call each other sisters and brothers. We don't do it any more since we are not in China and it's not what is done here, so we just call each other by names now. I don't even address my older sister Jei anymore.

Yeah it's not very consistent. I'm really not sure why some dramas can have so much intimate/bed scene shown while others, just two persons going down and cut. It was mentioned in the very first 5 mins of episode 1 they were not blood related. There is no confusion at all.

I'm on episode 22 and somehow I'm not that upset about Jin Zhao. I hate the noble idiocy trope but somehow I can't bring myself to hate him like so many people here. I was more upset about the ML's action from L&P that landed him in jail for 3 years.

I see it as their time to grow as individuals and decide on what they want in life. Even after 5 years, their heart is still with each other, then it's meant to be. I'm glad the FL didn't mope around waiting for him. She got her own life and moving on.

Oh interesting. Now the poor guy can't get it removed, incase bad misfortune falls on him. Yeah it was super distracting for me and I was glad most of the time, especially the kissing scenes, the focus was on his right side. so I can't see his left ear.

I'm not too sure about attires for offices in China but I can tell you for high school and university, that is the appropriate clothing for teenager and young people. The other high school/ college dramas were way too conservative and not something trendy teenagers wear. I have a 15 years old and I don't think she owns a top that doesn't show off her midriff.
