I binged watched hot stove league these last 2 days and finished it. I can't believe I actually loved a drama with no romance. ๐ I personally need a little bit of romantic angle is every drama. I'd been avoiding HSL for years now and only got around to watch because I have been obsessing over Namkoong Min after My dearest. So wanted to watch his other works. Hot Stove league was soooo engaginganf my god his acting. INSANE. His micro expressions are something else. He can convey what his character is going through without over doing it. His eyes literally do all the talking.

irl the lead actor is almost 12-13 years older than the lead actress. In the drama they haven't mentioned their exact age difference but he is considerably older than her. I am assuming a good 8-9 years maybe? He has been shown to have a lot more experience in life as opposed to her and he constantly jokes that he can wait for a long time because she needs to mature up. Plus he visibly looks much more older than her.

I think we will come back to the Bach scene towards the end of Part2. He is probably being chased for the same reason you wrote that is on being accused of manipulating the crown prince. But those men are not dressed like the royal army. So I am a little confused there. Maybe they are dressed like that because they did not want any official record of this man hunt.
JH looks so exhausted as if he knows he won't make out of here alive and recalls the first time he saw GC. I think he remembers her one last before facing his death. Imo she is not dead but waiting for him back home. We will see the beach scene after their happy moments I think. They are together but now he is been hunted and she is waiting for him. Hence he remembers her one last time as he won't be seeing her again.
But I don't think he dies there. He will probably be saved by someone. most probably chungha and her men only. There after he disappears and therefore there is no record of his whereabouts. Whether he is with CG or not that I am not sure.

honestly I feel like period dramas are better off this way. Some gap actually gives me time to relax. Continuous 20 episodes often feel too heavy after 13-14 episodes. The last few episodes seem never ending to me no matter how good the drama has been. Dividing into two parts is giving me a much needed breather tbh
