Title Married
The Kdrama "My Mister" is very very good with the ML's marriage story.
Same the wife says sorry for cheating on him with his boss for years and all is forgotten, he even blamed himself for her affair at some point...

He didn't have a choice loll I think he did it as a selfish reason to be in between them as he was always interfering in their relationship. He couldn't get her so he gave his heart to be in between them forever.

Clearly, you also didn't, less than 20% of divorces are due to infidelity. Also, the main cause of divorce is a lack of communication/commitment to the marriage. People simply grow apart, men can stand it but women mostly do not, so they initiate the divorce usually. Men aren't inherently evil when they reach a certain age and affairs aren't the main cause of every divorce as dramas tend to portray. People watch these dramas and correlate them to how marriages mostly are...which is a deformation of actual (most) marriages.

I think recently on "as husband,as wife" did some part of that.
I saw ''as husband, as wife'' The female lead was absolutely horrible and for some reason, that was never properly explained, they had to reconcile. She still didn't know what she did ''wrong'' and the husband came back as if nothing had happened. He had all the reason to move on ,but it's like a taboo in drama land for an ML to move on from FL. I've seen so many dramas where FL are absolutely toxic but all is forgotten with an apology at the end...life wtf.

I really would like for once Chinese dramas to portray men who are unhappy in their marriages and move on to a better life. Women aren't always the victims as these dramas keep presenting. I've rarely seen modern dramas with a 40+ male who's not portrayed negatively, as if all men are abusers. No wonder Chinese women don't want to marry. This is not a reality for most marriages. Most marriages crumble because of BOTH parties. Revenge wife dramas come out every single week but we have never seen a male-perspective drama.... I guess this drama will end up the same as all others like this...she moves on (with a either younger/richer guy) and he's left somehow broke, wanting to win her back because he regrets as if she's the only woman in the world and he ends up alone and has her ''revenge''. They don't even try to make an original script anymore.

That's what they always do in affair dramas where the FL is having an affair. The husband/boyfriend is always ''evil'' to justify the cheating.

What's the point of a comment section then?! Only for appreciation. If we don't like a show or a theme we cant comment on it!? This is a discusting plot and should be addressed and not normalized (several dramas with under-aged boys are coming out of Japan).

Not sure what you are trying to say. Japanese dramas were very popular in the 90's across asia. They had ''normal'' plots about regular people falling in love. Now all J-Dramas have very disturbing aspect to them for shock value.

Weird how i have I not seen any comments describing QYP has a flawed person or any comments defending his behavior towards the female leads or even the ex-husband who's stuck between two women. Somehow viewers keep bashing them, while similar toxicity coming from female leads are seen as "flawed human", "black and white"!? You don't find this contrast in viewers response a form hypocrisy?? Cheating is OK and defendable has long as its the female lead (she said so herself she was cheating/two timing and liked the thrill several times) but if it's another character, it's no longer black or white or flawed person that needs our understanding 🤔.

No she did not. He found out through weibo, she created another account to hide her pictures taken with QYP. That's low and scheming. Than she came back to HK and played house, not knowing he knew, thus him ignoring her. She even had the gal to insinuate that they should get married, without disclosing the truth.

Dramas should be social studies on viewers and how they re-interpret a narrative based on some preconcived notions... Toxic traits in a female lead are seen as ''flawed'', ''real life'', and ''not everything is black and white'', ''Blame the other party for female lead toxicity''. While the same traits on an SFL or ML, viewers would call him/her trash. Thai sometimes Korean dramas seem to be the only countries that portrays ''bad FL'' the right way. When a lead does bad, she gets her karma in the end.

How is Gao Peng the bad guy?! She did exactly what he did when he came to visit her. He ignored her because he knew she was lying. She came back to him as if nothing happened and even tried to propose they get married. She even created a backup account with pictures of her and the other ML. She had no choice but to break up when she knew he knew about her lying and hiding the relationship she had with the other lead. Gao Peng found her secret WeChat account through the second female lead and was only waiting for her to say the truth so they may reconcile or leave if she didn't, but she kept hiding it ...and even proposed they get married. She is using him as a spare tire. She's discussing and he should have thrown her out of the house.

Why r u targeting her moral values when the guy is no good lmfaooo
No she did not clearly tell him. That's why she moves in with him and when she finds evidence that he might be cheating. She tells her ''friend'' SFL that she truly loves him and they're meant to be and she doesn't want to lose him... blablah changing her entire narative after being dumped by the other ML.

Why r u targeting her moral values when the guy is no good lmfaooo
How is he no good, from what we know he didn't cheat on her. She's the one cheating and people are somehow trying to nuance/justify her actions and blaming the guy... WOW... Hell even if he did, that doesn't in any way make her action valid. It's like saying murder is human nature and no one's perfect...If she doesnt want the relationship she needs to end it and pursue whatever emotional void she wants but lets not project her action by blaming her BF or try to justify it.
