i really hate the damn cheating storyline. like why are you romanticising cheating. gurlie rejected mana and then…
Thank you!! Life WTF... I do not know why dramas sometimes try to romanticize/justify women having affairs. I feel like this is the breaking point for the ML obsession/love over our female lead. He had her...but she still left again. I think she'll end up alone after this major mistake. Hope they dont have an happy ending because it would really send a bad message.

it's been really pathetic now a days each and every drama is being like the ml should ask for forgiveness and…
What is weird in most Chinese dramas we see doormat wives and controlling husbands when in reality most older Asian mothers/wives are consistently yelling and the dominating party in the couple in most Asian households from the 80s and up, especially in HK and the big cities in mainland China (Beijing), especially in Korea. Husbands are scarred by their wives. Aunties/Ajumas in Asia have a bad rep. but dramas portray 50's and 60's mindset in modern era, which is a false premise.
On As Husband as Wife Aug 10, 2024
I'm willing to bet that they'll divorce or separate and somehow the husband is going to be the one taking the blame for their relationship breakdown. They all end the same.. Even when wrong, female leads never apologize haha

No less than anywhere else on the planet
Well, birthrate in Japan would have you wrong. Normalizing affaire and unhealthy relationship would cause that.

Its crazy , and i think sadly its pretty common irl too :/ i mean, the gf/wife Will ofc get angry at her bf/husband…
It`s also weird how a husband can never get mad at his wife for an affair or get ''revenge'' when there are sooo many dramas portraying betrayed female leads getting revenge on their husband while the other way around has never been seen in Dramaland K, J or C dramas by a ML.

How it ends? Please give me spoilers.
Can you just tell me if she`s married or still married!?

Title The Heir to the Throne Spoiler
The ending is so bad. That marriage is obviously not going to last. Marrying out of gratitude a man you barely know while still not being over your ex and taking over your family business. It's lonely at the top we all know this...it won't be different for her when she takes over. I don't think it was her ex that showed up in the end. I think it was her imagination, wishful thinking of her, hoping that her ex would take her away, as she was still uncertain (she doesn't love the man she's about to marry).

I find Raymond Lam's character in the drama has a big flaw, which is flirtatious and not loyal to Charmaine's…
If you've watched the series (prequels), the love of the female lead has always been a background character left aside and always ready to help while the FL looks forward (a common theme) of this series. So it's expected for Raymond Lam's character.

No, he doesn't 'deserve' better. Nobody 'deserves' anything in love. Love is not a gold medal for best behavior.…
She acted exactly like her ex bf/boss who stringed her along for years without any commitment. She dumps him because of it, then she turned around and did the same thing to the ML, knowing full well he wanted commitment and has serious abandonment issues. So, yes he does deserve better.

She accused him of rape. I don’t think that’s being misogynistic.
Exactly have you noticed that she did to him the same thing her ex bf/boss did to her!? Stringing her along for 3+ years with no commitment. She was extremely toxic.

First time seeing a male lead in cdrama or kdrama not to give up everything for the feminist FML, THANK GOD.
Thank you! I've noticed this weird trend too.

Same here. The endless discourse about life, death ,and fate got unbearable for me on the 18th ep and beyond
She was the stubborn one, so for once making a concession in their relationship was growth for her. He not wanting to go to the city was mainly because of his grandmother since he seriously considered it until her friend got ill. Him going to the city for someone who's non committal vs staying with someone who never abandoned him is a no brainer for anyone.

All of them just need to leave their incompetent men and live as a family together happily. Not 1 decent guy yet…
Typical Chinese drama trope for the audience (stay-at-home wives usually). All husbands are bad then comes a near-perfect man. Have you ever seen a husband portrayed in a good light in a drama (unless comedy)? Plotline is rudendent....

So their affair is OK because they really love each other!? I just hope he takes her daughter if they divorce.…
You are absolutely crazy. It's borderline abuse how she was treating her husband. Have you not see the scen where she was yelling at him to bring her food!? He needed time for himself, whats wrong with that. He left their daughter with her mother! Not with strangers. For once, from what we've seen, she had to take care of her and the household. A spouse is not your dormat or someone you can emotionally abuse, just because of your own trauma. Working doesn't excuse neglecting your family which she clearly was. Can't beleive you are also excusing the affair just because he left for not even a half a month. The double standard for affairs is always baffling. Wow

So their affair is OK because they really love each other!? I just hope he takes her daughter if they divorce. Has she seems to not care about her, even when she's with the FL. She treats them like accessories, to be more normal/conventional family but she doesn't seem to care about them. She even has the same 3 pictures in her office to keep the facade.
