Roe Empleo

I started to watch and read the manhwa and donghua of this drama, not to compare, but simply to understand the story first before watching the drama (so I won't be distracted by the acting).. I enjoyed the story so far.

For those who also liked these type of genre, can you suggest a similar manhwa/donghua? Aside from this trilogy, I also read the "Soul Land" series 1-4, the "Tales of Demons and Gods", and currently watching "Wonderland of One Thousands". Tnx!

The manhwa and donghua have very vivid and magical world... including the spirit beasts.. I don't think the production company have enough budget to create that through cgi... that's why some guess of the drama becoming a wuxia is most probably true.

Might as well look forward to this drama as a stand alone story, rather than comparing it to the original novel.

I've seen that drama.. I remember now... she Hui Xin in Love by Hypnotic.. the 2nd female lead (antagonist)

watching ep 24 now.. I know I've seen the actress playing Murong ShanShan before.. just cant remember where... does anyone recognize her?

the FL reminds me of the empress in "Story of Yanxi Palace"..specially when she's in Qing outfit... they could be perfect as sisters in a drama.

the 14th prince got demoted and was sentenced to serve as butler for Prince Zi..lol

but side by side, he and Tan Li look perfect together!

judging from the dramas she's in..this girl knows how to choose right role for her. She's beautiful and talented enough to get main roles.

I like her in Handsome Siblings.. simple, but can carry her own.... hope she gets more main roles.

She's gorgeous and funny as Fei Fei in "Far away Love".. she's also in the original "Scarlet Heart" as Ming Yu

But she does look older (than her age) here in this drama.. maybe its the make up and outfits.

could be.. I'm at ep4.. and he does soften much from the previous one.

Please don't hate me with this... but don't you think Ven Gao (Di Jun) is exaggerating his eye brow movements in the first 2 eps.. including his stare. It doesn't feel like the previous character.

in the first ep.. he played the father (who died), the mother bore twins, he became one of the twins

it's very common to have so many cliches and predictable narrative in wuxia dramas, but the unfolding of plot twists here is very nicely done.. I'm hyped! :-)

I'm not familiar with so many faces, specially the beautiful ladies.. hope someone can add them to the casts.

after putting it off for weeks, I finally decided to watch Jade Dynasty (movie version of Legend of Chusen) ... made me smile to see familiar faces from this (JoL) series.. :-)
