PA didn’t end well due to plagiarism,they were actually preparing for S2,but the script writer or so got hit with plagiarism and it ended with the cliffhanger.
I’m also curious to how ZY will get the poison out,since they’ve changed some parts in the drama.
Maybe chu qiao will find a way to get the poison out 🤔.

That’s how YX was too in the novel,the obsession was crazy that I just 🙄 at him.
ZY on the other hand,was always helping chu qiao even before AND after she joined YX’s team. He may be cold but he does love chu qiao enough to even go to the lake even tho he knew it was a trap.
ZY even kept an eye on her from time to time after he regained consciousness,until they finally met.

Also, chu qiao isn’t very good with her emotions,as in she doesn’t know how to express them well. In PA & even in the novel,she always had this stern,cold aura around her.
But that didn’t change the fact that,she was loyal to those loyal to her and would kill her enemies for her people.
I think the actress is doing a good job portraying that. Same with zhuge yue,he’s a cold man & ruthless but he has a soft spot for chu qiao(I’d say she’s his weakness),cos he knew coming to the frozen lake was a trap but he STILL went anyway.

I’d say 80% accurate and the 20% is the new changes added.

In the novel, zhuge yue didn’t take poison for chu qiao,it was actually his right hand man who saved him from the lake. No poison in the novel
After the lake scene,Yan xun was present a lot in the novel,but in the drama he’s unconscious. Also zhuge yue will be more present after he and chu qiao finally reunite.
There was no Yan xun in the lake like the drama nor was there zhuge yue saving chu qiao in the frozen lake.
ZY & CQ actually met again at the lantern festival,since CQ was very sad that he died,not knowing that ZY had always been watching her.

Ooohhh,you gotta finish it. But lucky for you,you get to watch the sequel…unlike me who kept dreaming of an announcement for a sequel from the same cast after PA ended,only to find my hopes shattered 😕.

I had no idea it had romance,when I first watched it on YouTube like back in 2017 ish. I was too immersed in the plot that,the romance & chemistry came soo naturally for me,I was rooting for zhuge yue & chu qiao.
Then I screamed at the final lake scene 😩😩.

Yeahh,but I hope they do add that part,since chu qiao knows zhuge yue is alive but hasn’t seen him yet.
But for me,that part in the novel had more of an impact.

Also,before some of you start complaining about lots of flashbacks,you need to watch Princess agents to understand about the flashbacks. As I said earlier on,this is a sequel to PA,with some changes. The flashbacks are very necessary to the story(why Yan xun became this way & chu qiao having a change of heart after the frozen lake scene).
Also,yes there’s romance in there but not heavily involved as the political intrigues and war is the main focus(it was the same in Princess agents),the romance comes naturally,so if you’re expecting heavy romance,then this drama is not for you.

Yeahh,I actually knew she was faking it. It was obvious with the questions she asked Yan xun & her actions.
But Yeahh,soo far it’s going according to the novel with a little change here and there.

No,chu qiao doesn’t have amnesia,she was pretending all along).
In the novel,if I remember correctly,she didn’t have amnesia,just that she was very sad & depressed about zhuge yue’s death & she later escaped with her maid).
Also,zhuge Yue didn’t save her in the lake,like in the drama. They actually met during the lantern festival,after chu qiao wished to see zhuge yue again,while she was talking to herself by a lake at the festival,not knowing zhuge yue was already there & watching her.

So I watched the first 5 episodes & I’ll say they’re faithful to the novel,just that some things have changed in the drama. Probably 80% of the drama is accurate like the novel.
Also,those who watched Princess agents,this is a continuation from the frozen lake scene & if you haven’t watched PA,go do so,it’ll help you get a feel of the story.

5 minutes in and the way they were devouring each other caught me off guard,to the point where I was shouting,’damn,hold on,I wasn’t prepared for it’with a huge smile on my face. Then when it almost ended,the spicy flash back scene to them kissing and getting freaky got me saying gatdamn!
The story telling,chemistry,cinematography and how engaging it is got me HOOKED! This is how I like my BL’s,I’m always more inclined towards matured/old yaoi BL’s than the young ones. Can’t wait for the next episode.

You can only support BL,if you want. I watch BL,GL & bromance dramas but if the actors CHOOSE to do a bromance,despite their insane chemistry,I’ll still support it cos in the end,it’s not up to me but the said actors if they choose to do a bromance or a BL.
