I think it has more to do with Jiang Hu & Ye Yu being strangers at first and JH killing YY’s prey.
JH is a cold man who keeps his distance,due to his past trauma so it makes sense he didn’t want YY to get close to him. Even that,Ji Niang still didn’t have a chance with JH as he only saw her as family.

I saw it too,it seems ep 18-19 are machine translated cos the hell did they mean by those words?🤣🤣🤣

Lu Cheng,dunno how many episodes you’ve watched but it’s been revealed he’s Ye Yu’s father. That’s why he & his mother were on the run cos Lu Cheng wanted them dead.

Also that wine bottle scene in ep 15 tho 😏😏. Yeah,I saw you looking at Jiang Hu’s lips,Ye Yu 😏.

Damn, so that’s why Ye Yu has a deep grudge & hatred for the Lu family,after seeing his past.
