“A cheerful family drama…” i am not going to be fooled by that like they did Unpredictable Family. That…
With Apple of my Eye as well...KBS has the habit lately of false promotion. It's so annoying. This one at least I know it's going to get crazy because of the writer.
I'm so curious how their story will develop considering their social class difference. I can see the FL helping…
Oh that's interesting. Yeah the drama seems to follow the Confucian rules from back then, that's why I'm really curious what they're going to do with their relationship. Will they even be endgame? From what we've seen so far, Yoon Hak seems very duty driven. I wonder how he will develop feelings for her and what's he going to do about them? Yeon Seon has her own dreams so it'll be interesting to see her develop romantic feelings for someone since romance isn't in her plans at all, much less with a noble. I'm guessing maybe there will be a reform for the leads at least? Or the FL will "die" as Yeo Hwa and get a new identity. I've seen it happen before in other dramas. I'm hoping somehow they all have a happy ending. I loved the characters so far!
Idk how to explain it but this drama really puts you in the joseon era feels. I love how it has the right amount of humor but also depicts realistic issues that I could see people having back then. The cast is killing it!
4 episodes in and I love the FL so much! She's so cute, I want to keep her in my pocket and protect heeer! ML is very handsome but he really annoys me sometimes, I hope he gets a character development later. I don't know if I'll be invested in this for 36 episodes but I really like their dynamic so far!
I'm happy this finally is picking up (from the comments and spoilers I've seen). I'll wait for a few more episodes to see if the writer commits to the progress lol and then binge-watch it (with a lot of skipping). Side note: Love how Hyo Jun was protesting when Mi Rim was calling him Director and now he's helping her with her acting and he's like "Won't you listen to the director?" Pfft I just know she's going to have him wrapped around her finger (as she should).
4 episodes in and I love this drama so much!! I'm so in love with the leads' acting. The ml is so expressive! Second couple is also cute, seeing Shin Jae Hwi playing a nice guy for once is healing!
i was thinking exactly the same! at first i was like "uh... i guess i'm just thinking too much, of course they…
Saaame! The entire drama I was thinking "we're overthinking, there's no way they're pairing them up". I can't believe they're actually doing it. It's a pity because I'm really enjoying all the other story lines.
Sam Soon x Soon Gu ship has sailed! AAAH what a sweet proposal!! So cute how she teared up and he said thank you after she said yes ajakjsia. The director saw their chemistry and said just stare and smile at each other for like 1 minute, and it worked! They got me feeling butterflies for real!
I finally got around to watching Ep. 19 w/subs a couple of nights ago. I enjoyed reading your analysis."Why oh…
Not gonna lie, I'm mainly watching this drama for their story (Mi Rim & Hyo Jun) because I can relate a lot as a young person who feels like my years are passing by and I'm struggling to find what I want to do in my life. The love triangle is boring, I wish they would stop putting love triangles as the main focus in long dramas. It just doesn't work (at least from what I've seen so far). I'm sure Hyo Shim has said no to him before. And if not loud and clear, she has definitely send him big signals. She hasn't even opened up to him, like ever. He's the only one who feels so comfortable with her. Tae Min isn't stupid, he has figured it out by now but he just refuses to accept her feelings.
Agree on the mother but at least HS is freed from her new debt. Couldn't care less for the brainless infant to…
And him being so unapologetic about it had me like?????? You want a medal for your courage to assault a woman? "Hit me as much as you want." Uhm with pleasure sir! And he had THE NERVE to raise his voice at her after that. I felt so bad for her. Uee played it perfectly, she looked really uncomfortable, confused and betrayed.
I was going to put this one on hold but I was in a mood for something slow paced so here we are lol Eps 18 & 19 thoughts: Tae Ho wanting to give her the things she wanted was cute. Usually the "super rich ml gives fl all the things she can't afford" trope comes off as condescending and superficial to me sometimes but it wasn't the case here. I think it's because Tae Ho is more down-to-earth and simple-minded than the other rich people in this drama. He isn't a show-off unlike the others. Tae Min is so gross. Why oh why can't he just take no for an answer? He and Soo Kyung are perfect for each other. It's a pity the writer decided to make so many annoying people in this drama. Like I feel we could have had a cute arranged marriage trope with these two if they were good people. But now I just don't care. I loved Hyo Sung's scenes, especially the ones with Hyo Jun. This is exactly what I want and expect from a family drama: to have bonding family scenes! Btw will it be too early for me to hope that Hyo Jun apologizing to his mother and his brother is a sign of development? It will be so much easier to watch if one of the characters becomes less annoying! I still think him and Mi Rim have the best chemistry in this drama but it's being wasted since he's a jerk. I'm happy that Tae Hee has a business now. Maybe now she's going to mature and realize her ways. Hyo Do, on the other hand, seems like a hopeless case.
LOL The bachelors scenes with Jung Woo are always so funny, one of my favorite parts of this drama. THE PREVIEW FOR EP 10!! ALREADY SQUEALING ABOUT THE SAM SOON X SOON GU CRUMBS! (And to think we would normally get this episode this week! Sports have become my enemy!)
All the couples are going to serve longing and angst! I was as shocked as everyone else when Sam Soon confessed.I love how direct and open she is with her feelings. I knew Soon Gu would reject her. It's going to bite him when he sees her with that bachelor. I wonder what will be the turning point for him to accept his feelings and pursue her. I just know he likes her more than she likes him, you can't convince me otherwise, like the way he's looking at her is soo aaaahhhh I can't describe it.
I'M FREEEE!!!! Such a pity this drama turned out this way because I liked it at the beginning. Anyways, it is what it is. It's not the first nor the last drama that turns out awfully written. It has high ratings in S. Korea so maybe I'm just not the target audience for this one. Huge respect to the whole cast, they did amazing with what they were given. There's no way I'm going to watch Season 3 (I will only consider it if one of my faves plays a big role in it, I hope they won't lol)
