Sam Soon x Soon Gu ship has sailed! AAAH what a sweet proposal!! So cute how she teared up and he said thank you after she said yes ajakjsia. The director saw their chemistry and said just stare and smile at each other for like 1 minute, and it worked! They got me feeling butterflies for real!

I finally got around to watching Ep. 19 w/subs a couple of nights ago. I enjoyed reading your analysis."Why oh…
Not gonna lie, I'm mainly watching this drama for their story (Mi Rim & Hyo Jun) because I can relate a lot as a young person who feels like my years are passing by and I'm struggling to find what I want to do in my life. The love triangle is boring, I wish they would stop putting love triangles as the main focus in long dramas. It just doesn't work (at least from what I've seen so far).
I'm sure Hyo Shim has said no to him before. And if not loud and clear, she has definitely send him big signals. She hasn't even opened up to him, like ever. He's the only one who feels so comfortable with her. Tae Min isn't stupid, he has figured it out by now but he just refuses to accept her feelings.

Agree on the mother but at least HS is freed from her new debt. Couldn't care less for the brainless infant to…
And him being so unapologetic about it had me like?????? You want a medal for your courage to assault a woman? "Hit me as much as you want." Uhm with pleasure sir! And he had THE NERVE to raise his voice at her after that. I felt so bad for her. Uee played it perfectly, she looked really uncomfortable, confused and betrayed.

I was going to put this one on hold but I was in a mood for something slow paced so here we are lol
Eps 18 & 19 thoughts:
Tae Ho wanting to give her the things she wanted was cute. Usually the "super rich ml gives fl all the things she can't afford" trope comes off as condescending and superficial to me sometimes but it wasn't the case here. I think it's because Tae Ho is more down-to-earth and simple-minded than the other rich people in this drama. He isn't a show-off unlike the others.
Tae Min is so gross. Why oh why can't he just take no for an answer? He and Soo Kyung are perfect for each other. It's a pity the writer decided to make so many annoying people in this drama. Like I feel we could have had a cute arranged marriage trope with these two if they were good people. But now I just don't care.
I loved Hyo Sung's scenes, especially the ones with Hyo Jun. This is exactly what I want and expect from a family drama: to have bonding family scenes! Btw will it be too early for me to hope that Hyo Jun apologizing to his mother and his brother is a sign of development? It will be so much easier to watch if one of the characters becomes less annoying! I still think him and Mi Rim have the best chemistry in this drama but it's being wasted since he's a jerk.
I'm happy that Tae Hee has a business now. Maybe now she's going to mature and realize her ways. Hyo Do, on the other hand, seems like a hopeless case.

LOL The bachelors scenes with Jung Woo are always so funny, one of my favorite parts of this drama.
THE PREVIEW FOR EP 10!! ALREADY SQUEALING ABOUT THE SAM SOON X SOON GU CRUMBS! (And to think we would normally get this episode this week! Sports have become my enemy!)

All the couples are going to serve longing and angst!
I was as shocked as everyone else when Sam Soon confessed.I love how direct and open she is with her feelings. I knew Soon Gu would reject her. It's going to bite him when he sees her with that bachelor. I wonder what will be the turning point for him to accept his feelings and pursue her. I just know he likes her more than she likes him, you can't convince me otherwise, like the way he's looking at her is soo aaaahhhh I can't describe it.

I'M FREEEE!!!!
Such a pity this drama turned out this way because I liked it at the beginning. Anyways, it is what it is. It's not the first nor the last drama that turns out awfully written. It has high ratings in S. Korea so maybe I'm just not the target audience for this one.
Huge respect to the whole cast, they did amazing with what they were given.
There's no way I'm going to watch Season 3 (I will only consider it if one of my faves plays a big role in it, I hope they won't lol)

I actually like this a lot, it's a feel-good drama with a lot of humor making me laugh out loud. The interviews…
I think it's because a lot of people judge and drop it after 2 or 3 episodes and it's a drama that gets much better after ep 4.

*sigh* The writing of this show has become a big mess. I'm skipping/fast forwarding everything at this point, the episodes are sooo dragging and full of unnecessary nonsense. I'm glad it's finally ending tomorrow.
The "face off" between the villain and Nam Soon was super underwhelming. Like come on, I was really looking forward to a fight between them.

Rightt??? I love Sam Soon and Soon Goo. I didn't like this drama in the first episodes (1-3) but when I saw these…
Yeah same. I found the first two episodes kinda cringe but it has become so entertaining now! And the biggest reasons are the supporting cast and couples, especially Sam Soon and Soon Goo. Their chemistry is sooo good!!! And I just love that they're polar opposites, it's so fun watching them interact hahah. The leads are cute, I like their scenes but I feel like the supporting cast really brings something extra to the drama that makes it more endearing.

Awww I love the team and them working out a plan together!
I could literally watch a whole drama with just Sam Soon and Soon Goo! I love them so much!!

So the eldest met the prince who is 14 years old but needs to marry?? I hope she's not matchmade, not bc the prince…
Ooh that makes sense, you just gave me a huge relief lol! It was kinda weird but I feel like we're overreacting. There's no way they're going to pair them up. I was suspecting from the start that she wouldn't get married but I couldn't find how it's going to work out for the ml. Now that she saved the cp, the king will for sure spare her later.

I am most excited about the lieutenant and third sister's relationship - he has those hot eyes that burn for her,…
I know right? The way he looks at her makes me smile and I love how awkward he gets whenever she compliments/expresses interest in him, it's so cute!!

Omg that would have been so much better than what we got with this elitist jealous cow. But I guess the writer…
Exactly, it's so unnecessary and avoidable especially since they don't even like the same man! I was okay with having a lot of annoying characters at first because i though they would be better along the way but now that we're 17 episodes in and no one has improved yet, it has started to get tiring. Just how many more people will hurt the fl? lol

Title Live Your Own Life Spoiler
Ep 16 & 17 thoughts (how are we in ep 17???) :
This family is a mess and it's the parents' fault. The dad abandoned them and the mother is so entitled. Yikes.
The brothers calling each other out was actually sad. No one takes responsibility for their actions and they're always pointing fingers. Except Hyo Sung I guess. He is a little better in that regard.
The problem with Hyo Do and Hyo Jun is that they look down on people because of their own inferiority complex. I got so annoyed when Hyo Do said frustrated to Tae Hee "you want me to work as a delivery man" Like what is wrong with that? It's much more honorable than whatever he's doing, that's for sure.
And the same goes for Hyo Jun. He is so focused on hitting it big and living that "good life", he forgets about what's really important. He is the only one I kinda feel bad for, only because I would go insane if I had wasted my whole youth chasing something I don't even like that much. I'm not excusing his behavior btw. I just hope we get his redemption arc soon cause Mi Rim deserves the best! Her being so unbothered by his rudeness is still so fun to watch. I could never!
The main couple is cute, I'm glad there's some development in that area at least because all the other stuff is just the same as it has always been lol.
Tae Min is annoying but oh my Joo Won's visuals ate this week!
Soo Kyung's nastiness to Hyo Shim is sooo unnecessary. I feel like they just want to shove the obsessive SFL trope in our faces. You know what would be cuter? If Soo Kyung was actually a nice person and while having a crush on TM, she'd ask TH about him in the gym making HS jealous. She'd notice how HS looks at them and clear up the misunderstanding. Then boom! HS realizes the reason why she's getting jealous and her and SK become friends. I think I'm just done with all the annoying characters lol.
On Unpredictable Family Nov 19, 2023
I feel like I wouldn't have dropped this if I hadn't watched Apple of my Eye first. Cause now my tolerance for annoying second leads and characters making stupid assumptions/decisions is really low. Maybe I'll tune in later to see the love lines.

I think it has to do with Taemin's year in jail. His whole life he's been pushed to be the company's next leader…
You've analyzed him very well! He is a complex character indeed!

It’s so obvious that he is not comfortable with the idea of her marrying someone. He seemed shocked when he…
For sure! He really cares for her safety too. He clearly has a crush on her but he's too stern to do anything about it haha. I feel like they could learn from each other so that's another reason why I like them. Like, she could help him loosen up and he could help her be a bit more down to earth. I hope we see more of them now that they will be working with the leads.

Jung Woo's interactions with the bachelors is so funny, he is so done with them hahah. The way the FL's brother looks at Sam Soon makes me giggle hehe. This week's episodes were so entertaining, I hope it stays like this. Kdramas aren't really hitting the spot for me these days and this week's episodes made me happy and excited for next week!
