Tae min is getting shadier and shadier as the episodes go. I feel bad for Tae Ho : ( He has no one to talk to. I guess he's similar with Hyo Shim in that regard. I hope we see more interactions of them. I don't like that we're ending with what would be Saturday's episode. We were getting some background story but it's been cut in half now. Ep 8 looks good! I'm predicting divorce for Hyo Seong and his wife. Maybe not permanent but there needs to be something big to make her realize her ways and I can't think of anything else lol. Mi Rim is probably going to help Hyo Jun with his exams. I'm pissed that we didn't get an interaction between them this week. We better get more of them in the next eps!
Ep 6 thoughts: The episode felt kinda slow to me but maybe it feels this way because of the many cancellations. Uee at her expertise again which is making us all cryyy. Hyo Shim is slowly reaching her breaking point. She's such a good person, it hurts to see her like this, her happiness is all that matters to me rn, I don't really care for the love triangle. I feel like I'm going to like Tae Ho more when the "enemies" part of the trope is over. I think I read somewhere before the drama started airing that he's going to help her break free from her family so that will be sweet. I really hope they don't make Tae Min really evil later. I'm counting on the news reporter lady to help him forget about Hyo Shim. I love that Tae Ho's grandma is Hyo Shim's supporter now! There's finally someone on her side!
The family reunion was sweet! The villain creeps me out a lot, it seems like he will develop an obsession with Nam Soon. Even if he wasn't evil, there is no second lead syndrome here for me ofc when there's a sweet and kind guy like Hee Shik as the ml. Seriously, I haven't been this excited about a couple in a mini drama for quite a while! They are just so cute!!
Aww so Nam Soon and Hee Sik are going to be working partners now. I really love how their relationship progresses. They're both very kind and their interactions are so sweet. <3
You know you have loved a drama when you keep checking anxiously how much time you have left with the characters in the last episode. This drama made me smile in every episode, no matter the mood I was in. I loved the characters, especially the Chun family. The bond that they shared was so heartwarming and at the same time realistic. All the love lines were so cute and hilarious at times. The ending fits each character really well. I appreciate that the writer didn't force anything and considered the characters' journey and growth instead. All things ended on a hopeful note! <3 I'm going to miss the characters sm, especially my adorable OTP, Pei Lan and Bu Ping. I really hope they make a 2nd season!!
There are a lot of repeats of storylines gone bad in the original dramas in this one. Hopefully they will get…
Yeah idk why it's so hard to write a decent single parent love line in weekenders/dailys. I hope we see a good one in this drama or at least on another one soon!
Ep 13: Another single dad waiting for his wife who clearly abandoned him with a child? lol Alexa play Deja Vu by Olivia Rodrigo. I'm not fan of pairing him up with FL's sister cause both of their characters seem kinda flat atm and I feel like they'd be a boring couple but maybe they're going to prove me wrong who knows. I liked seeing the fl so determined in this episode, more of that please!
I liked the first two eps! It feels like watching a cartoon but in a good way. I may find some moments a bit too silly but the leads are worth staying for. The fl is like a disney princess with super powers, love her! I love how the ml is a police officer and she'll be the one protecting him haha, he's goofy too. They are so adorable together, their interactions made me smile. He's already down bad for her, as expected from the writer who created Ahn Min Hyuk lol.
I just love how this drama knows how to be hilarious but also serious and heartwarming. Such an underrated gem!! What do you mean we only have 4 episodes left??? I can't let these characters goo
Watched till ep 9 and I'm getting bored. I usually don't mind a bit of stiff acting but ML is really throwing me off, the fact that I don't like his character doesn't help either. Personally, I find the second leads more interesting. Seon Joo is also really fun and relatable, she's my favorite. I don't want to watch a drama for like three characters though, I did that with Apple of my eye and I regretted it big time 🥲 I don't like how in every situation, no one connects the dots. It's probably for comedic purposes but it frustrates me and, in my opinion, it makes the characters look dumb. It'd be okay if it was used for like one or two times but having the characters guessing always the wrong answer of what's going on makes them look really dumb especially since the right answer is really obvious to the viewer. I've seen dramas that use this trope well and manage to make the characters endearing and not frustrating. Anyways, this is just my opinion, I'm not hating on the drama, it's not bad, I just can't connect with the characters. I'll watch the rest of this week's episode and decide if I will drop it.
Right? I feel people who complain about "how annoying" all the characters are have either never watched a weekend…
Exactly! I like that there's room for growth and development. I just hope it actually happens because the family dramas I've been watching lately had zero character development which is a shame considering how much can be explored in long dramas. I'm trusting the writer here for now, I hope I don't regret it lol.
Have I developed a high tolerance on annoying characters? Because I don't hate anyone that much yet (except maybe from the eldest brother's wife, Hyo Shim's mom and Tae Min's parents). I think it's because I'm certain that the characters are going to have a growth and I'm so here for it!(writer pls don't fail me) I love the three women (Hyo Shim, Tae Hee, Mi Rim) of this drama!!! They're kind but at the same time outspoken and strong, each in her own way. I'm so tired of kind characters being doormats, this trope needs to die for real! I hope the girls don't lose their spark until the end! Well, I know for Hyo Shim, we're going to see her thrive soon. I didn't expect to be so interested in the eldest brother's story but I really want to see his broken family coming closer. His wife is ruining their kids, she really needs a touch of reality and some self-awareness! If they give Hyo Jun a good character development, him and Mi Rim are going to be my favorite couple. From the little we saw of them, they look fun and so cute together! I LOVE Mi Rim's unbothered attitude towards him and I can already sense some chemistry between them!
I love Pei Lan so much! She's such a kind soul. At the beginning of ep 9 I was thinking that her family was pretending to not remember her birthday, only to throw her a surprise birthday party later as they usually do in dramas hahah but they took a more realistic approach and I liked it. It was so nice to see Pei Lan being happy in the end, she deserves everything! Ah I love her developing friendship with Lu Bu Ping so much. He's so ready to help her with chores now, I feel like he has had growth since the first eps. The way he was so ready to take her away with him so she'd be treated better, so cute(πーπ ) Also, love the fact that he accepted her answer without pressuring her or being disappointed.
"You said it, I heard you and I've taken it to the bottom of my heart." I love how expressive Lu Buping is 🥺 Poor master 😠he just wanted someone to tell him to stay. Eps 7&8 were so good!! I died with the Lord and his assistant mistaking the Prince's crush and making their own plans. It was hilarious to watch them being confused over Jin Rong's behaviour. Their plan blew off in their faces 😂 The end of ep 7 was so precious 🥺 I love this familyy!!
